Great value and great ball (for most people) at any price
The Wilson Staff 50 Elite does what any non-great golfer wants it to do: it flies far if you don't have a super-fast swing speed, and it has low spin which tends to make it go straight. It also has a softer than average feel, and it's great for chipping and putting. For any amateur golfer who is anywhere from slightly above average to horrible, look no further than this ball. I would honestly prefer to play this ball than any other ball at any price, including the vaunted Titleist ProV1 (which is 4x the price of these). How it works is that if you have an average to low swing speed, due to the compression this ball will fly farther than most. But conversely, if you have a very fast (pro type) swing speed, the ball will fly a little less than the balls pros prefer. What's also great about this ball is that it's cheap, roughly $1/ball. So if you aren't very good and lose a lot of balls in a round, it hurts less financially when you lose one. Plus the ball is available in orange, my preferred ball color. Orange balls are much easier to see in the sky on an overcast day than a white ball. And since very few people play orange balls, you are less likely to confuse your ball on the ground with someone else's ball. This ball should really be rated a full 5 stars by everyone who chooses to play it. If you are a near-pro golfer, you already know that you want a ball with less compression and more spin, to match your fast swing speed and ability to "work" (deliberately curve) the ball. But if you are anything less than a great golfer, buy this ball. Most of the negative customer reviews here are ridiculous. Check out the current one star reviews. One says the balls feel like rocks, another says they feel like marshmallows - obviously these are in between those two extremes. Then some say that the wrong product was sent or they got the wrong color from their seller. That is not a review of THIS product, and is no reason for one star. And there are some 3 star ratings that claim the ball "wears out" after a full round (18 holes) or two. Look, if you can play an entire round without losing a ball, retire that ball. Considering the costs of playing golf, why be cheap and play a $1 ball for more than one round? Serious tennis players do not keep playing the same balls match after match, and there's no reason anyone should play a $1 golf ball for more than one round. Frankly I'd love to finish a round with the same ball from the first tee, something I've never done.

Play with a new ball for a good price
I used to play with a mix of balls that I found on the course and a little voice in my head said that if I played with the same ball I would get used to a consistent feel and therefore get a lower score. I played my first 18 holes with 3 of these and my score is basically the same. However, I do like the feel and hit off the driver, yes they sound and feel wonderful off the T. Many of the drive shots flew straight which I attribute to the reduced spin affect these balls have!amazing. I believe they flew as far as any other ball I've found on the course as well. I even hit a few other balls I found on holes to compare the flight and found this 50 to fly farther (titleist and wilson 500). When you look at the dimple pattern on this ball you will notice it is different from the typical and I think for a high handicaper this design will help improve your game, not to mention paying for balls will give you an increased incentive to keep the balls in play. Each time I lost one I cried a little inside but not too much because they only cost $1 per ball. I also like the bright colors this ball comes in, so much easier to find a yellow ball. I will be purchasing another dozen when I get down to the last sleve of these.

I'm not a heavy hitter..
... and these balls feel good off the club. They are cheap, but made well enough for my game, they don't last a long time, scuff easily, and have a propensity for water if I'm near it. I have tried other balls, some the latest and guaranteed the longest and best, but I keep coming back to this ball. It suits my slower swing, feels good off the club, flies as true as I hit it, inexpensive and comes in 3 colors. No matter what I may be playing, I always have a sleeve or 2 of these in my bag. If you are a double digit handicapper with a slow swing, I'd recommend trying this ball. It may not improve your game, but it will improve how you feel when you hit it sweet.

Another great value Wilson product flying under the radar
I'm a fan of Wilson golf equipment; it fly's under the radar and provides great value. So I bought these a year ago just to try them but never got them on the course. 2 weeks ago I threw a sleeve in my bag before my round. I started slow playing my normal balls. By hole 2 I was starting to swing well. Somewhere between hole 3 and 4 I started playing the Elite 50. Played it remainder of the round. From hole 2 to 18 I had as good a ball striking going on as anytime in the last 20 years. Just a magical day and the elite 50 was a pleasure to play. Yes, I can feel it is softer then my normal balls and I like that. It does everything reasonably well. So the experience with the 50 got me to try the other big brand with soft golf balls. I played them my last round. I did not have my A+ swing but concluded the competition had nothing on this ball with my swing. I ordered more today and that prompted me to write this review.

Best orange balls on the market!
Since the pandemic started Iโve found myself a scratch golfer after playing many more rounds than usual. People always laugh/giggle/smirk when I tee up an orange ball and announce โIโm playing an orange Wilson Staff 50.โ They shut up after I put up 38 on the front and a 36 on the back. I played them when I was a 16 HC and Iโve kept playing them at a 3 HC. Iโve played them all, and these are great balls, theyโre darn great balls for the price. When I was a 16 I didnโt mind losing a few a round. At a 3, I actually get about three rounds out of a ball before I retire it to one of my kiddos. Theyโre straight as heck off the tee and actually hold greens pretty well. I can get good spin out of the sand with this ball as well. Won both of my mens leagues this season playing this ball. Donโt be fooled by the great price and orange color, itโs a phenomenal ball (and no I did not receive compensation for this review.) 35 years of golf and Iโve finally found my ball.

Great golf balls
A lot of very good golfers are switching to lower compression balls of various vendors and seem to like them. So after a bit of research, I decided to give these a try and bought a box figuring if they didn't work out, I'd give the rest of the balls to First Tee. I still was a bit concerned about the 50 compression as I'm a 10 index and used a harder more "brand named" ball.Tried one ball for 2 rounds. Hardly any wear on them after those 2 rounds. Drives are about the same distance - 225 yds (I'm 73 yo),however I noticed the irons and hybrids seemed to go 1 club length further so I had to adjust there. But the real difference is in putting and chipping. Much nicer "soft feel" and control. Based on those 2 18 hole rounds, I ordered another 5 boxes to make sure I have a supply in case Wilson ever discontinues them. That should last me a l-o-n-g time as I use a ball until it "disappears". An added bonus is these are priced at $1/ball, yet these are NOT "cheap" junk balls.I used to use yellow colored balls but liked the orange since too many of my golfer friends are starting to use yellow. Orange is very easy to spot in fairway and/or off fairway and the orange let's me know which ball is mine.

Great soft feel, low spin, further drives
Pros:-Bright orange ball. Easy to see, even as the sun is setting.-Driver distance is noticeably farther.-Soft feel-low spin, so you don't slice or hook as easy-cheap! (bought a set of orange ones from amazon for like $12, yellow ones are for sale @ like $10)cons:-low spin. I don't get much backspin with my iron shots with this ball as I do with other balls.-surface of the balls gets scuffed easy, especially around bunker shots-maybe its my putter (i have this old carbite putter since I was in high school, over 15 yrs ago), but the balls literally launch off my putter. Took me a while to get used to the speed

Shockingly suprised
I started to buy these balls a few times in the past and always would hit save for later. Last week I said what the heck, at best I'm out 15 bucks right. So to make a long story short I teed one up on my Tuesday night league and right off the club I noticed a soft send off, and on my second shot onto the green I saw a good amount of spin which totally surprised me. I played that same ball all 9 holes and due to a couple miss putts a 38 was added to my score card. I am truly amazed with this ball and it's durability that I will definitely buy more especially at this price. I have always used titleist balls but I have to say this is going to be my new go to for now on. I gained distance and added more control and spin with this ball. Wilson has always been under the golf radar as far as paying a lot for advertising goes which allows them to offer much lower cost on their products. I have to say this ball beats Titleist balls hands down. And saves me more money for the 19th hole. If you haven't done so yet please buy a dozen of these 50 Elites and see for yourself the difference this ball will make for you as well. Oh the putting was such a difference also with a soft feel off the putter face. Thanks Wison for such a super deal at a ridiculous price. "Hit em straight and long friends.

Great Golf Ball for the high handicapper and very visible
Great Golf Ball for the high handicapper and very visible, lost ball is only in water where you cannot retrieve it. Will purchase again. Is an exceptional price.

These are pretty good gold balls
Itโs hard to review these as golf balls brands are so individual, these go okay but are not my favourite but then it depends on the day, some days they could be!

Pretty good value
I can't really confirm the advertised benefits, but they are nice balls and seem to go as far as harder ones do. Can't say I notice the claimed benefits around the green, though they are pleasant to hit off the tee. I bought them for winter play and the colour is nice and bright, so they are easier to spot than muddy white balls.
