Great sound. Great Value. Beautiful Burgundy.
The sound quality on these is amazing. The fit and comfort is fine for what you're paying, but they're $30 bucks for bluetooth on ear headphones that sound, again, amazing. The battery life seems great, the controls are fun with the little wooden knobs on the ear. I'd love if they also had a "push" function instead of just turning for play/pause. Maybe we'll get a V2 or EH12 later. The build quality is nice. They don't feel like cheap brittle plastic. They DO feel like plastic, just not like they'll fall apart in your hands or snap if you try to stretch them a bit too far. They have a nice weightiness to them. Also, this burgundy color is beautiful in person. The pictures make it look more pink or salmon colored, but it's a nice darker red color that I absolutely love.

Headband broke in two weeks.
The headband just now snapped right in the middle when putting these on my seemingly average-sized head. I received the FiiO EH11 Retro On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones two weeks ago and they've been great up until now. They were comfortable and lightweight with good sound and controls. I can't speak to battery life as I wasn't through a single charge before the band broke. When looking for a better alternative to the JLab Rewind headphones (of which I have four sets - 3 V1's and one new V2). The JLabs are just cheap and the new ones don't sound as good as the old ones. The FiiO EH11 Retro On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones seemed to be a good alternative. They don't really look the part of a vintage set of Sony Walkman headphones but are still nice and unique. The JLab Rewind, however, does have a solid metal band that goes over the head - just like Walkman headphones. The FiiO headphones are just a plastic band and, apparently, not a durable plastic. This is an unfortunate design flaw that ruins an otherwise quite good pair of headphones. UPDATE 06/12/26: I have been discussing the issue of the broken headband directly with FiiO via email. They are completely ignorant and unaware of an obviously profound defect in the EH11 headphones, stating "Actually, we have sold a large number of EH11, and the proportion of headband breakage is still relatively low.". From what I can see, almost half of all recent reviews of this item here on Amazon report the same broken headband. While FiiO also immediately offered a replacement of the product as it is still under the pitiful 1-month warranty, "If you would like to get the EH11 black replacement still, we will use Aliexpress standard shipping. Just we need you to pay 1 dollar to register your shipping information and for convenience to track your package.". If I wanted to transmit payment information on shady websites, I would have ordered the headphones using the method originally. I'm thinking the best direction is to return this garbage EH11 back to Amazon as defective, get the refund and refrain from purchasing FiiO products in the future. I did, however, have a positive view of FiiO before my experience with the EH11 headphones. I had previously purchased a FiiO portable headphone amplifier in 2016 which I am still using and it works great. It is unfortunate that this current issue is tarnishing FiiO's reputation.

Not ready... yet
These are very frustrating headphones! I love the retro vibes, but I have a hard time understanding the use-case(s). There is very little volume and no gain control? Music seems to cut out at lower volumes and video is completely unwatchable due to lag issues (at least with Apple TV, Amazon, Roku, Sony and LG Smart TVs). It seems like using the great EQ capabilities, provided in the control app, seems to make the delay problems even worse, adding additional processing time into the mix. Making live sports broadcasts listenable, makes music super sibilant (I haven't figured out how to change presets from the simply awesome physical mechanical control dials on either ear-cup?). I'm afraid to fall asleep wearing them as they may crack in half if I roll over on my pillow? They are absolutely built like a toy, but I wouldn't buy them for my kids because of the cheap plastic build quality of the head band. If there had been a small piece of leather, metal, or rubberized material rather than the plastic it might have felt like more of a "real" product. I bought three different colored versions of this model after hearing the initial feedback and will be returning two of them after my personal disappointment. The sound is great for the price don't get me wrong, until this thing actually breaks, I can't completely condemn these as being as brittle as the feel. However, they have to be at 50 or 60% or so to hear them without inexplicitly breaking up periodically. Super light weight, but feel like they could snap at any moment. Great parametric EQ app and manual mechanical controls with an inability to use them with Video applications. I'd say a super mixed bag of cheapness that makes it way too hard for me to recommend anything but passing on this until they fix a few things... Edit: I initially mentioned you had to turn them up over half way just to get some sound. Well... they also get overwhelmed fairly easily. I had only been listening to them inside in relatively quiet environments to start and I know I am sensitive to fan noises, external conversations, refrigerator compressors/icemakers, etc. that are fairly typical detractors with open-back headphones... however, I wasn't prepared to walk outside on my deck and have to crank the volume full blast to over take the birds, crickets, and sprinklers in the yard (forget about it when the neighbor to doors down turned on his hedge-trimmer). I can't even imagine trying to use these in an office, coffee-shop or on a train. I gotta pull a star these are really not fit for use. Edit 2: I returned two of the three that I bought and really hoped I would get over some of the shortcomings with further experimentation and use. One of the biggest pluses of this package, without a doubt, is the sound differentiation you can get out of this little $30 deal. I really love being able to play with the EQ and device sound signature functions, but that too has become another real point of frustration. The app and (or headphone itself) will inexplicably disconnect (or plain fail to connect) randomly. I have the app loaded on Apple, Chrome, and Android devices and it doesn't appear to make a difference. (though the Apple TV does seem to be the most stable connection with no FiiO Control App) and I don't think I have tried it with Windows yet where there also would be no app. I have also found that while changing the EQ profile, it unfortunately sounds different than when you save it to the device. it does sound really good... but soooo frustrating, I really want to like this one.

Great Alternative to Koss KPH40 (Until They Broke)
update: I loved these (see below) until they broke. They plastic headband broke after 1 month. there is no metal reinforcement. It's a shame. I give it 3 stars because if you are super gentle, they may work for you. FIIO and Amazon did the right thing and refunded my purchase. FIIO please update these with a metal head band like the KPH40s! --- Unbelievable bargain for bluetooth headphones! The driver is a clone/homage to the classic Koss KPH 40mm. I prefer the sound on my Koss KPH40s but not by much. The difference is mostly caused by the smaller earpads on the FiiOs. These are great and the bluetooth setup is superior to the Koss adapter. The FiiO features the superior sounding LDAC codec plus all the controls are on the earcups. They build quality is ok but they are plastic fantastic so who knows how long they will last... at $29, i'll take the risk!

FiiO Retro Headphones
was genuinely impressed with these FiiO retro headphones, especially considering the price point. The build quality and finishing are far better than one might expect for a product under $30. The attention to detail is evident right out of the box—FiiO even includes spare sponge ear covers, which is a thoughtful touch that adds to the overall value. Bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly. Pairing is quick and reliable, and the headphones maintain a stable connection during use. The call functionality is another pleasant surprise: making, receiving, and taking calls is seamless, and the voice quality on both ends of the call is very good. Where these headphones really stand out is in the sound quality. For this price range, the audio performance is remarkably good—clean, balanced, and genuinely enjoyable. In fact, for the cost, the sound quality borders on what many would consider “audiophile-level,” which is quite impressive. The retro design is also a big part of the appeal. The look immediately brought back memories of carrying around a Walkman, yet these headphones combine that nostalgic aesthetic with modern wireless convenience. It’s a clever blend of old-school charm and contemporary functionality. Overall, FiiO has created a product that is fun, functional, and exceptionally good value. It’s rare to find this level of design, performance, and nostalgia packed into such an affordable package. Highly recommended.

Great Sound, Extremely Poor Durability
These headphones sounded great and I loved the look of them. Unfortunately like other reviewers have pointed out they do not last. I used them on and off for about 6 weeks and was very gentle with them, but the headband snapped in the middle just from taking it on and off my head. Looking at the plastic headband doesn’t look like it’s capable of holding up to flexing over time and will eventually break just from the stress of being on a human head. Fiio really should have used metal or another more durable material for them as the sound quality of the drivers in the earcups are fantastic four the price, but that doesn’t matter if the product breaks in only a month or so of use Since this is just outside the return window I’m stuck with a pair of headphones that can no longer be worn. They were great while they worked but don’t expect them to last very long

Super sound but handle with kid gloves
The Fiio EH11 does have great sound, instrument separation and very nice open back sound. The EQ is necessary and fairly easy to set up. The battery life is too notch. The headphones sit lightly on the ear and has very light clamping force but the fit remains secure. I think the overall quality is higher than I expected for the price so maybe other headphones are priced too high. The sole negative is the super brittle plastic headband. Mine snapped the 5th time I used them, so second day of use. I suppose glue will be a remedy but it is disappointing. Once the plastic piece snaps, the headphones can't sit right on your melon.

Meh.
I don't know what Z reviews sees in these headphones. I find them rather uncomfortable and not that great sounding to be honest. Not to mention the pads are not easy to find.

Fantastic sound for the price
I bought these to replace my old Sony WH-XB900N headphones. Top quality sounding but the over the ear design I’ve always disliked as I like to hear what’s going on around me , also they got quite sweaty after awhile. Anyway , these on ear design allow me to hear what’s going on around me and they don’t get sweaty at all . The look of them are very 80’s which is great I just wish I had a different colour as the cyan are a little too girlie looking although they do come with a spare pair of ear covers in a darker blue which is better. So onto the sound , I’m quite blown away actually how good these are. They sound like a pair of headphones costing three times as much. There’s no fatigue listening for long periods. You can download the app and use pre set graphic equaliser settings or customise your own . I’d say the app isn’t the easiest to use but has everything there to make these headphones perform how you want them too. I love the volume dial and next track dial on the actual headphones. I’ve tried these listening to tv as well as music and they are very good. So for the price a very good pair of headphones, possibly the best I’ve ever bought, hopefully Amazon will start selling the replacement ear covers so I can get a nice black pair instead of this horrible cyan (only colour other than pink in stock at time of purchase)
