Q: Can you put a bike rack on back side of the carrier? It looks like it would accept a class 2or 3 receiver.

No. The square tube is 2” outside dimension, not inside, so it is not a receiver.

Q: How do the corners attach to the sides? I don't see screws in the image; it just looks like the sides slide into the corners?

The corners are welded as well as the whole carrier is welded together there are no screws.
