This mic sounds good and clear and has a better reproduction of lower tones compare to others in this category. I used it connected to a camera as well as with a wireless transmitter. The fuzzy windscreen does its job in windy environments.

This is a really good lav mic. I have it attached to a wireless mic system and it’s been fully compatible with my setup and performs well. The biggest advantage for me is how easy it is to hide compared to clipping the full wireless transmitter on someone. It’s also much lighter, so it doesn’t pull your shirt down or sag on thinner fabric. That alone makes interviews and talking-head videos look cleaner. Sound quality is also surprisingly good. Based on what I can hear, it’s on par with (and sometimes even better than) the built-in mic on my wireless setup, especially when I position it properly. The included foam cover and wind muff are a nice bonus too, especially if you’re recording in slightly breezy conditions. Build quality feels premium for the price. The mic body is all metal, and the cable is thick enough that I actually trust it to hold up over time. The L-shaped 3.5mm plug is also convenient because it sits closer to the transmitter and feels less likely to get bent or stressed in a bag. For the price, this is a great value if you want better-looking setup on camera, solid durability, and clean audio without spending a lot. Just make sure you select the right connector version for your specific wireless system.

Full Disclosure: I received this as part of the Amazon Vine program for review. This review is for the DJI 3.5mm version from this listing. I'm always very interested in low cost production gear and lately a lot of the mic solutions coming out have been really surprising and hit way above their weight class. Instead of the DJI system the product title says this is for, I paired this with a Comica lav set which has a 3.5mm input option on each transmitter/mic combo and this lav mic actually really knocks it out of the park. It's a little low level VS what I would have expected but that also seems to be a way it keeps background noise down. The cap of the mic looks like some other brands where it would snap on/off so you could have the option to use it or not use it... however, this mic it threads on and off and, while you could use it with the windscreen cap screwed off, I wouldn't suggest that. The fuzzy windscreen is really nice and does a great job. But the main thing to be aware of is this is not what should be considered a small mic. While it kind of vaguely looks like a Sennheiser ME2 lav mic... it's actually larger by probably 150%. So if you're looking for an easily hidden mic for film making... look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for an interview lav or a lav for a livestream show of some sort then this thing is a great option. Overall, for the price, this is a pretty good mic.

I’ve been using this lavalier microphone with an Android head unit installed in my car rather than for vlogging or interviews. The microphone connects via the 3.5mm plug and worked without any compatibility issues in my setup. Call quality during driving has been very good. Voices come through clearly with minimal background noise from the road or engine, which was a noticeable improvement over the built-in microphone on the head unit. Even though I mounted the mic near the center console, it still picks up audio clearly from both the front and rear seats, which was a pleasant surprise. The omnidirectional pickup seems well balanced for in car use, capturing voices without sounding distant or muffled. The L-shaped plug is also convenient in a tight dashboard area, helping reduce cable strain and keeping the connection tidy. Overall, while this microphone is marketed for wireless transmitters and content creation, it works very well as an external mic for an Android car head unit. It’s a solid option if you’re looking to improve call clarity inside a vehicle without needing complex installation.
