Appropriate for an 8 year old.
My friend's son has been really into making things that they can use so I thought this would be a good gift. They just turned 8 and immediately started putting it together when they opened it. I was pretty surprised that they didnt need help as I was worried they were too young. It seemed like they had a lot of fun and it wasnt too hard for them to figure it out.

Excellent Robotics engineering toy
This is a really cool toy. It is hydraulic and the operations are really neat. Assembly will take time but it is fun and challenging.

Challenging and engaging
Very challenging but a great gift for a crafty kid suitable for 10+ kids, I bought it for my grandson which is very much into legos and this even if different he really enjoyed putting it together himself without adult help, very impressive

Plastic is not very durable!
Great in theory but cheap, plastic parts don’t hold up very well in mechanical use! Multiple plastic pieces broke during the building process and you are not given additional parts! I do not recommend buying this product.
