Vent Systems Saddle Duct offers a quality solution for your HVAC installations, designed to ensure seamless connectivity between main and branch ducts. The EPDM rubber seal ensures thermal insulation and waterproofing for airtight connectivity.
The saddle duct is used primarily to create a branch from a main duct to secondary ducts in HVAC systems, ensuring efficient air distribution. It’s designed for installations where a branch needs to be added without disrupting the existing ductwork, perfect for retrofit projects.
Installation process: start by placing the saddle on the duct where you want to install it and use a marker to trace around its inner and outer edges. Next, drill a starter hole within the inner circle and cut out the traced area. Apply silicone along the edge of the cut for a secure fit, then position the saddle on the duct, pressing it down firmly. Secure it in place with tek screws and consider adding an extra silicone bead around the joint for better airtightness.
