What`s with the hollowed out bottoms? Seems it would weaken the briquette and in time break more easily?

Hi do these fit the lynx sedona l700psr-ng?

We didn’t get a new tray for our Lynx they insert under the clips but some of our clips were broken due to a previous owner but the briquettes still work fine. Not sure the exact model we have hope this helps
