ORIENT"President" Classic Automatic Sapphire Watch Two Tone Gold EV0J002C

Extremely good quality watch (regardless of the price), Rolex Presidente homage, very good timekeeping, movement seems pretty robust (per my jeweler), gold is FAR better looking in real life and the champagne gold looks stellar (picture does not do it justice, looks kinda' cheap in the photo but I assure you it does not look like that in person), sweeping second hand is fairly smooth (ain't quite Rolex smooth but about as close as you're going to find without a higher end movement). I'd say thee best Rolex homage watch on the market (and believe me I've looked at a ton of them). Buy it, you won't be disappointed. Orient has some very nice mid grade watches maybe even mid high and these are amongst them. I don't know how their cheaper quartz watches look, feel, or hold up but the oyster automatic models are superb.Edited: Okay apparently I got a downvote for not being helpful so here goes my best try. It has a 21 jewels movement that beats about 6 ticks per second ( so fairly smooth sweeping hand motion), it is a true 36 mm Rolex sized case (not 40mm unless you include the crown), the crown is a screw down (which is a big plus for waterproofing), stem winding motion is nice and tight, the crystal is sapphire (or at least has the scratch resistance of one and the water beads up right when it hits it, P.S. I have smashed this against the corner of a wall without getting a scratch as well), my jeweler says he liked the watch so much he is going to carry a few of the oyster models as a cheaper alternative to his real Roly's (that should say something about the build quality), the band is nice and tight and doesn't pull the hair (as the links are solid and not that pinched together cheap jubilee knock-off bracelet type), if the watch is worn for a good solid day of moving around it will hold a charge for up to a day without wearing it (I have tested this out and it is true, keep in mind I said a day of wearing it and moving around quite a bit), the gold does not look as cheap in real life, datejust works nicely, bezel catches light nicely, overall thee best Rolex homage watch on the market... Can't help you out more than that with my intermediate-novice watch knowledge... Oh and in case you don't know "tick" about watches, it's mechanical (automatic) A.K.A. does not need a battery (like a real Rolex), and will need to be worn or kept on a winder to keep charge... Can't possibly be any more helpful than that... Posted a picture of it next to my 14K ring so you can see the gold plating compared to a real solid gold ring too. cheers

I like almost everything about the Orient President. It is a beautiful watch, and keeps great time; mine is off by maybe a minute every month. I have another one that is off my no more than a minute every week and a half. Quality is superb - everything: finish, bracelet, etc. Unfortunately, Orient has apparently ceased to manufacture this watch, as I can find no information on the Orient website about its current availability. The only drawback to some folks, but not me, is when you shake the watch to wind it (By the way, it is non-hacking & not hand windable), you can slightly feel the rotor turning and hear it if you put it up to your ear when shaking it. I cannot detect that when on my wrist.

Don't expect that this watch be able to replace a real "Rolex". Neither by weight nor by overall impression it is not. But it looks perfect, "sitting" well, has a very nice look and a price in 1/40 of the "big brother". So, if you need some good and cheap alternative for daily use - it is definitely a way to go. But if you want "Rolex" - buy "Rolex". In any case. I can say for sure that you will not be disappointed with this "Orient". Highly recommend it.And "yes" in the reality it looks much better and is very close to the real "gold" color than on the image.

A wonderful homage to the Rolex Day-date (complete with the old fashioned 36 mm sizing). As one of the reviewers stated the photo on Amazon does not do justice. I have a Rolex date just and it is often times hard to tell which one is which when you compare them side by side. Hard to find these watches on line. So enthusiasts should grab one while they are around. Also the brand is Orient, which has reliable in-house workhorse automatic movements (like it's Japanese competitor Seiko) and makes excellent dive watches (Mako, Raven etc.). And this watch is an automatic (21 jewels) with a sapphire crystal.

Nice, but look like fake! The automatic fly-wheel winding sound like true industrial machinery.

Only had it for a week now. It’s super nice. Looks to be very well built. I like it. Kinda looks like a Rolex. Very comfortable. It’s a great looking timepiece IMO.
