For 10 years I have used the 8-inch model by the Schaefer, and they still work perfectly. The 12-inch fans move 4 times the air [cfm = cubic feet per minute], and I needed more moving air in my greenhouse [40 ft. x 12 ft.]. 3 of the 12-inch move much, much more air. When the weather is moderate, I use the smaller fans. Perfect. Both sizes are mounted at the ceiling [roof] level, and are exceptionally quiet; they can be rotated to blow in any direction, too. A caution: When I bought the smaller fans more than a decade ago, they were wired. The 12-inch fans come with a separate plug so that they can be wired, by a professional, directly to the home•business•greenhouse•storeroom wiring if you prefer. If you cannot attach the 3-prong plug, call on someone who is knowledgeable to read the instructions on the fan and proceed. These are exceptionally good fans, and worth wiring correctly, of course. Installation is as easy as drilling a pilot hole and using a strong hex lag screw; I use stainless steel. I expect these fans to work for a decade and longer in my humid greenhouse environment -- and I am certain that they will.

Excellent fan, very effective for its size and quiet. They’re expensive, but got a deal on an open box return. I had an electrician set up on a thermostat to run automatically run two in a background greenhouse. I would definitely buy again.

This is my second fan. Last one lasted a good 12 years andwas still running when replaced. Previous was the non galvanized version placed in a greenhouse high humidity and some weather. The guard eventually rusted and became cosmetically unappealing so i replaced with the galvanized version. The product quality is what I’d experienced on my last fan with some improvements I noticed. The connection box was much better sealed than. Previous version. The unit pushes plenty of air actually in some cases may be to much depending on how it’s mounted so would as recommend the variable speed controller so you have options for output depending on your installation. I would definitely recommend this product for a good quality circulation fan.

I bought this fan because I was told it is great for your horse stall during hot summers. It works great and helps cool down the stall when it's hot. Everyone in the barn has one for their horse, and we maintain them yearly so they last. I highly recommend this fan.

Very powerful fan. You can place it 15 feet away to help with noise levels and still fill a strong breeze. Kinda heavy but it’s easy to install. I did it myself.

Quieter than my last HAF fan. Bracket is only good for a hanging installation not for vertical supports (that bracket must be purchased separately). You have to wire the cord to the fan or have someone do it for you (schematic on the motor housing only no written instructions for wiring it on the instruction sheet)

Both $2600 worth of fans to use in stalls. we knew the mounting would suck because on top of the $200 per fan if you want their mounting bracket it is another $6 per fan. What was not specified was that the wiring is not attached to the fan. There is a cord with 3 wires - white back and a green ground. Once you take the housing apart it has a white, black and red wire. The instructions recommend an electrician wire in your fans - what a bunch of bull for this price. What do you think that will run? about another $600 for the 12 fans I purchased?

This fan is easy to install and can be adjusted to about any angle.. I have it mounted in my 8' x 12' greenhouse and it works great. It should last for many years running 24/7. I highly recommend this product.
