"The Church must be a place of mercy freely given, where everyone can feel welcomed, loved, forgiven and encouraged to live the good life of the Gospel. - Pope Francis, The Joy of the Gospel, 114 A Year of Mercy with Pope Francis will draw you into God's unfailing mercy, strengthening, healing and equipping you to fulfill his plan for your life. Spend a few minutes every day with the Holy Father as you read a brief meditation by him followed by a few reflection questions designed to help you ponder and receive God's love. These bite-sized quotes and engaging questions will fit easily into your busy schedule. But what a powerful few minutes they will be! God doesn't tire of us, Pope Francis has said, but "we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy." Join him in exploring the infinite love and unfailing compassion of the God who is always "there first," ready to receive and embrace us. Review: I loved it from the get go - I purchased 5 of these when I first saw it right before Christmas. I began reading it and gave out the other 4 immediately. I loved it from the get go. The daily readings and meditations take less than 5 minutes. The readings are excerpts from the various writings of Pope Francis. A daily reflection is provided at the end of the excerpt. In this year of Mercy this is a most fitting and rewarding daily reflection that I look forward to. If you get behind, or ahead for that matter, you will find it difficult to stop reading. But why not read it more than once. This is also a beautiful opportunity to read all the various writings of Papa Francis. Review: What a beautiful gift to give ourselves each and every day - This book of daily meditations is a loving gift to one and all regardless of religion. Pope Francis is a model of compassion so inspiring, and his message is directly for the heart in all of us that seeks forgiveness, mercy, and hope. What a beautiful gift to give ourselves each and every day. Thank you, Pope Francis.

A Book To Cherish
This little book of reflections is a wonderful way to encourage and enliven our faith each day. As it is only the beginning of March, I haven't read the entire book. But, based on what I have read, I have no hesitation in saying that it is as quietly joyful and as gently challenging as is our Holy Father himself. I believe this book would be an excellent spiritual companion for any Christian and for anyone - Christian or not - who has found Francis' words an inspiration.

Thoughtful
This is a great book, I received a nice note and additional free copy of another book on Pope Francis and hand made book mark. It was very thought ful of the seller.

Brief daily readings, but nice for when you don't have a lot of time.
Very brief--for example, today had a reading from last year on this date, but then a little message afterwards. Nice for families that want to have a brief devotion. After all, ANY devotion together is still a devotion, just like any little one sentence prayer is still a prayer. You can always expand on it. Good for beginners.

Good reflection guidance from a gifted spiritual leader
Good reflection guidance from a gifted spiritual leader. Succinct and to the point each day. My wife and I share it daily. Not being Catholic (Quaker in fact) there are tinges of Catholic theology we don't necessarily resonate with, but it's not a significant issue.

Needed inspiration
This has been an inspiration for me. I am not Catholic. However, the quotes from the Pope are inspirational for anyone of the Christian faith. They are just short enough to read quickly and not worry about whether it's going to fit into my day. There's always time for a short devotional. The comments at the end of each short devotion are food for thought.

This book would make a very nice gift too
This has been a very welcome part of our morning prayer. It has excerpts of homilies and talks for every day of the year, followed by questions for reflections. It is a small enough book to fit into a large purse or tote bag. This book would make a very nice gift too!
