Handsome, Simple Watch From A Reliable Company
I really like the look and light weight feel of this simple watch. I had been using a high end watch which actually hurt my wrist ( the design forced the knob thingie to irritate the skin.) so I decided to go with simplicity. I am one who does not think of using his phone to check the time, I grew up on watches and am used to them. This tells time, and so far accurately. It is quite handsome in my view. I like the two toned black/grey face and the light numbers make it easier to read (except in the very dark.) I donโt need a date, or light, just the time. Only issue I have is that it arrived ticking which means the battery was already in use. I called Casio to see if they recommended returning it for a new one that had that plastic thingies between the knob and the watch that you remove to activate the battery but they told me that this model doesnโt come that way. So for my 11 bucks I am gambling that I get 1 -2 years out of it. Then iโll Just buy another. I used to get very cheap off brands that didnโt last worth a darn, so for a couple of dollars more I hope this one will. I will use it for evenings out as well, itโs attractive enough and Iโm not trying to impress, just want to tell the time. Some reviewers said it was too small. I have a thin wrist so itโs not that way for me and the face of the watch is the size of a quarter so thatโs normal. I swim almost every day but I take it off before, I donโt really want to test itโs water resistance. To me that means you can wear it in the rain, not go scuba diving. And they donโt specify what meters it is water resistant to. If this thing lasts, and, pun intended, time will tell, Iโll be a happy (& punctual) camper!

Great travel and all-around use watch.
Stylish enough for wearing anytime. Easy-to-read dial. A simple, basic type of watch that I prefer over the digital/chronograph watches that can be a hassle to change the settings. This is perfect for travel because it is easy to change for time zone differences and cheap enough not to have to worry about damaging or losing or being stolen. Even with standard shipping, I received it in only 3 days after ordering. I also bought the Casio Men's MQ24-7B2 with the whiteface for my gardening and yardwork watch. Both have healt up very well so far. I just bought a replacement to this original. After replacing the battery, the watch did not seal correctly and condensation formed on the face. I opened the back, dried it out, and carefully tried to replace the seal. It still collected condensation and eventually stopped working. But I still got 3 years use out of it. I am not sure if there is a way to replace the battery without causing this problem, but still think it is a bargain and a great watch for everyday use.

Optimistic so far...
Only a week or so of experience with the watch, but I'll go through the listed categories, to the extent that I think I can judge at least a little: Accuracy: seems fine so far. Easy to read: unless in strong light, it seems a little tough to read the second hand is very very thin in diameter. Water resistance: giving this a four, mostly because it is listed as resistant to a certain extent which I think means light wetting such as a little rain, won't hurt it. Another aspect, though, while not especially the manufacturers fault given the low price (about $14 if I remember, at the time I bought it), goes a bit on the discouraging side if you plan to replace the battery when that time comes: from what I read, watches or at least some of them (or many) can be expected to lose some of their water resistance when put back together during the battery change. And so, if that is true with this watch (seems it's probably true), then after battery change, it might well end up then, with very little if any water resistance. If I get a year's use, I will probably feel satisfied provided during that year it proves to work well. I've gone back to low priced watches like this, because when I paid about three times this amount the last time, I still got (as usual) only about one year before the watch quit, presumably because of the battery life. One last comment, really a pair of related comments: as someone said, this watch is a very small one. Looks like a woman's watch. So far that is o. k. with me, because I've found it have a probably very helpful feature when it comes to watchband life: its thickness is very very small. So in active use, something such as shoving your hand in a deep pocket, should be much less likely to stress or break that watchband. Might seem like a small matter, but with inexpensive watches, who's going to replace that band anyway...so what's needed is a design of a watch made to apparently seem like the band will last a while. Overall, a rating of at least four, hopefully will prove about right.

Durable!! Maybe indestructable?
I bought this in March last year and it's now May, and I'm still using this thing. I work in a warehouse moving 2000 lb pallets around and I wanted a watch that could be destroyed without breaking my heart. This watch has been smashed so many times, beat on, boxes dropped on it, hit on the edges of steel things, the face is all scratched up (see pic), and it's still going with perfect accuracy. I have to say I really did not expect it to keep ticking this long. I got a Casio because I used to have one as a kid and it worked forever, so I can still vouch for the Casio brand. These things work forever. No idea if it will keep working just as well when the battery finally dies and has to be replaced, but for the price might just get another one. Great work watch!! Only complaint is that the hands are a little thin so sometimes I can't actually see them unless I tip the face to the light so the silver hands catch the light. Otherwise a really amazing cheap watch.

Very Nice No-Frills Watch - Very Accurate - Great Backup Watch For Packs
After owning several of these watches for over 2 years, I've decided to update my review. I got several of these watches to pack in my daily and emergency packs, as backup watches. As such, I don't get to check them too frequently - somewhere between once a month, to once every three months, depending on the kit. Despite this, these watches have all managed to keep very accurate time - generally within a minute per 3 months. So far, no dead batteries, after 2 years. They're very no-frills watches, and only modestly rugged. They aren't my go-to watches, but they're still nice watches to have as backups, or to loan out to friends. I have larger wrists than average, and this watch still fits (with one eyelet to spare). Honestly, it's even fairly attractive watch. It won't razzle-dazzle any watch aficionados, but it's also the nicest looking watch I've seen for less than $10. I'm very pleased with these watches, and I'll continue to get more as I need them.

nice, low-cost comfortable
nice, low-cost comfortable watch i bought for while i am wrenching on a car or doing yard work. it would not be fair for me to grade this particular band on the watch, as i just received it, so just be aware... rubber watch bands will degrade over time, and replacements often cost as much as a new casio watch. my take: well worth the money for a no-frills analog watch (that looks ok, too). the bezel (frame) is somewhat smaller than i expected, but that's ok for my use. i recommend it.

Absolutely adorable!
I needed a watch with a second hand for timing myself in swimming. I am totally thrilled to learn that the water resistance depth for this watch is 10M. It is definitely more functional than just withstanding handwashing. For twenty dollars, this watch does not look cheap at all. The black-and-grey colour theme and the metal band together gives this watch a classy and classic design; it almost looks like a watch with a black metal band if the band could have been a little shorter for me. Battery life is three years and that is more than impressive. (Swatch watch batteries are supposed to last two years but it lasted only one year for me, although battery change is now free with Swatch.) Casio US sells this watch for $22.95 on line. I am so happy with this find with Amazon. I am ready to dive! Yay!
