Sommerfeld's 12 Piece Three Wing Slot Cutter Set, 1/2-Inch Shank

I have a very large collection (hundreds) of router bits and over half of them are Sommerfeld. Every time I try to save a few bucks on another top brand be it the more popular CMT, Freud, Whiteside, Amana or others, I still come back to Sommerfeld. They aren't the cheapest bits by far but the quality is unsurpassed in my opinion. Believe his are made by some of the other vendors but to his specifications and with very thick carbide so they can accept sharpening many more times than the lower quality brands. I will continue to use this brand until they are no longer available to the market or until the profit margin becomes more important than their product quality like so many other companies.

It can cut dados and slots in wood, and with the bearings it make it easy to adjust the depth of the slot or dado

I have only used this once so far but cut slots very nicely. Highly recommend this kit. Very customizable with all the bearings and washers included. Thank you sommerfeld

I know the finish doesn't do the cutting, but it is a representation of the product as a whole. I didn't expect the yellow paint to be chipping up and showing rust underneath. The cut quality ok, but the bearings just suck.

Good quality and a nice assortment of bearings for various depths of cut. If I had one wish, I would wish it also included a 1/4" arbor so I could also use them on my hand-held router.

This set was very good. It did exactly ike I wanted and has options for other things that I have not needed yet.
