Great for the price. Actually used in anger in 40 cm of snow. Chains fitted easily (if you are used to chains or follow instructions) and no problems pulling away on icy base layer and a lot of snow on top. No slip on a steep gradient road and when I stopped to tighten they had little to no give so had fitted well first time. Recommend to practice in dry first, have a pair of warm work gloves and look after the mending kit (I lost min in a pile of snow and cant seem to get a replacement)

Followed the manual, not too difficult to set it up, but you do need some patient, as the chain could getting jammed from time to time.

Can’t fault these - used them for the first time on a tricky descent in very heavy snow from La Plagne. Having watched a few videos and read the specific instructions, we had them on pretty quickly, adjusted slightly after the first few minutes but really they hadn’t moved much. The car would still be there if we hadn’t had chains. The quality seemed good, they were East enough to get off too. Only problem was first we were sent the wrong size, good job we checked and had time to get the right ones before setting off. We have snow socks also and saw other people managing with those in the same conditions but I would go for the chains in the steep conditions of the alps.

I bought these snow chains last Saturday. The previous day I had travelled to work in appalling snow conditions. Having recently purchased my first rear wheel drive BMW Series 1, I quickly discovered how bad the car handled in the snow - frightening. So, I ordered these on Saturday at 6.00pm, paid extra for next day delivery. They arrived at 2.00pm the next day - brilliant service. I fitted the chains straight away, just to see how hard or easy they were to fit. It's fair to say that they are fiddly things to fit, but a bit of practise does the trick. This morning, I awoke to an overnight snow fall of approximately 3inches. I fitted them in cold, dark and wet conditions at 6.30am (took about 15mins) - not a good start. But when I set off on my 12 mile journey to work I quickly discovered what a bargain these chains were. The extra traction and grip was fantastic. After 3 miles I decided to take a route to work via quiet country lanes and had no problems. At one stage I encountered fours cars stuck on a hill and I smuggly passed them with ease. I'd recommend anyone who has a car that does not perform well in snow and ice to have a set in the car. Make sure that you keep a torch, gloves and a small mat to kneel on when fitting. I love these chains!!!!!

Very pleasantly surprised. Chains are relatively easy to fit and provide the required grip. They are a bit thin compared to proper expensive chains so may not last forever but as an emergency pair they are perfect. No issues driving up to Val disere in a massive snowstorm where others with socks and similar easier fitting chain alternatives were stranded at the roadside.

Have yet to try them in a snowy environment but they look OK and seem to be reasonably easy to fit.

I bought these snow chains as i was heading to a snowy Europe for a holiday break over Christmas. They were easy to put on with decent instructions, seems pretty reasonably made, but i have no experience so compare to. The first usage they broke, which is obviously hugely disappointing and inconvenient. The top and bottom of the problem was that in the factory the chains were not linked together properly, as one of the longitudinal chains was looped back on its self, putting it under strain and snapped in use. There is a repair kit included, so i set about checking all the other similar longitudinal chains, and none of the others featured this fault on this or the other tyre. The repair was easy if you have access to a screwdriver and a pair of pliers, otherwise it would not be possible.I have given 3 stars as i was able to put them on and use them, the price was fair, and there was a repair kit included in the pack, but deducted two for failing on first journey and having a manufacturing fault.Word to the wise, Germany has a relatively new law which means all winter road users need to have winter tyres on, and places anyone with summer tyres on at fault in an accident. It isn't enough to wear snow chains, as these should only be worn when a sign instructs snow chain use.

Managed to get these on in torrential snow to 245/40/18 low profile tyres (by turning the wheels out). Got me out of trouble, worked great. I didn’t drive far Or fast but there seemed to be no issues with clearance / snagging.As with all snow chains, when you get the hang of it, it’s easy.Worth bringing your own gloves, the ones provided are just a gesture.If you’re new to snow chains (on sports car tyres), remember to tighten again after driving a short way to get rid of any slack.

Ich schreibe eine Rezession, muss jedoch sagen, ich hab aktiv die Ketten noch nie benutzt.Die Ketten kommen in einer Kunststoffbox. Ich habe fuer meinen Touareg 4 Ketten gekauft, also 2mal bestellt.Die Ketten sehen robust aus, es liegt eine Anleitung bei, die meiner Meinung nach sehr wichtig ist.Desweiteren sind Einweghandschuhe und eine art Bodenauflage in der Box.Trockenuebung empfehle ich!Ich habe auf einem Parkplatz das Anlegen in trockener, sauberer Bedingung geuebt. Ich hatte nie eine Situation der Anwendung. Ueben empfiehlt sich! Wie man doch immer sagt: Uebung macht den Meister.Durch die paraktische Kunststoffbox, habe ich die Schneeketten immer im Auto gehabt. Sie nahmen im grossen Kofferraum kaum Platz weg.Obwohl nie im Schnee eingesetzt seit dem Kauf, ich empfehle das Produkt. Die Ketten sind nicht zu teuer, wirken Robust, sind kompakt in Box verstaut und das Anlegen ist einfach aufgrund der Anleitung.
