For several years I have been using ONC colors because I thought it was supposed to be natural and healthy with no harmful ingredients or anything I am allergic to since I am allergic to anything related to acrylates which hide in many hair care products. I recently got an app called yuka which rates the safety of food and personal care products and my ONC color got a terrible rating because it still contained several chemicals including PPD which is very harmful. It suggested an alternative product which was this Surya Basil. It contains no harmful chemicals, only natural ingredients, it had no smell at all, and it was so easy to use. I have used pure henna powder before and it was messy, inconsistent, and took forever. This was a relatively thin and easy to distribute gel/cream, and the suggested times to leave on ranged from 30 to 60 minutes depending on starting color and product color. Mine was Red, and I left it on for a good 60 minutes. The result was great! The color is very pretty, it colored consistently throughout my hair, and my hair seems healthy and shiny afterwards. I highly recommend!!! I can’t believe I used the other “natural “ product for so long!!!!

This product has changed my life ! Wherever I go (Supermarkek,street) people say to me, "I love your hair!" This is done by both young and old, male and female ! I apply your product and leave it on. It dries in a couple of hours, though it stains my pillow for a coulpe of days (washes off in the laundry). I do NOT shampoo my hair. Your product is also a magnificent hair conditioner and gives thickness and body to my hair ! My greatest fear is that you will stop manufacturing this product. So I order six bottles at a time. Please don't ever stop! And thank you for this miravle !!! Before I discovered Brasil henna, applying henna was a messy and tiresome business and I had to sleep all night in three plastic caps with tons of heavy goo on my head, before rinsing it off the next day - itself also a long process !

Beautiful color. Easiest to use. Great price. I also love their Marsala color. Ive used this brand for YEARS. Ever since I started using Henna. I wish I wouldn ave taken a before and after pic, but I leave it in my hair all night while I sleep and get that deep red color. No chemicals to damage your hair. Simply the best product in my personal opinion ♥️

I have been using the red henna for about 10 years now, and I am in my 60s. I am a natural dark redhead, but my thin, fine hair lightened with age, with more and more white. I love the deep, dark red color I get. I use it in the shower after washing, and I squeeze out the excess water before use. I’m careful to distribute it throughout my hair and massage it in, and I leave it in for 2 hours. I only gave it 4 stars because they stopped including a plastic hair cap, which really upsets me because we need it! So I use a strong plastic produce bag, and then tie a scarf around my head. After thoroughly rinsing it out, the color comes out too intense to look real (but people thought my hair was too red to look real when I was young!) I use a color safe shampoo, and I wash my hair every three days because it gets very greasy. This causes a very slow color fade, rather than rapid, as some have complained about. After a few washes, my color is about the same as the natural dark red of my youth, and I love it. I get compliments, and young men still make advances! But what I especially love is how well it strengthens my fine hair, which breaks off easily. I love long hair, and I’ve always wished I could grow it down to my waist. Before, it wouldn’t grow much past my shoulders. Now it grows down to my rib cage, and is thicker. Not down to my waist, but significantly longer and I love it! I wish I’d known about this product before. I have to keep using it at least every two months to keep my length. I recommend this product.

Always an amazing choice, free of chemicals

Have dyed my hair with henna for the past 5 years and this is my far my favorite! I used to order from Lush, then tried henna color lab, and a few other small random brands in between. I love that this feels clean/quick to use and leaves my hair feeling super soft. I have noticed that it does fade quicker than 100% henna but it's so easy to use, it doesn't bother me to have to do it more often.

It’s orange, not red. I am so disappointed. I used a their powder brand and added red zinger and hibiscus dry leaves and got the red so I decided to try and the ready mix cream it was definitely not red. So now I have too different colors burnt orange and red, which was from another brand that was out of stock or no longer available. I will definitely not use the ready mix cream again. I want my money back. It was a disaster.!!!!!

I have Cancer and therefore it is not advisable to have any hair dye with bleach which is very carsonagenic. Therefore I have been using this product for several years. It is terrific!

El producto es conocido hace mucho tiempo. Es lo mejor que hay. Sue precio es muy alto y cada vez cuesta mas. Tambien el colour rojo no esta a veces. Por eso, no puedo darle un buen recommendacion.

I have been using this Henna for years I have hair dye Allergy and this is perfect!

And leaves my hair very shiny. But quite pricey and washes out of my hair fairly quickly.
