Q: can this be used for shooting space games?

I use mine for TIE Fighter, X-wing, and X-wing Alliance. It is designed to be used in flight simulators and space fighter type games. I hope this helps you out.

So sorry, I really haven't a clue, however, common horse sense would imply that if such games can use "Joystick Input" for the function you are asking about, then it should be no problem. For what it's worth, as for being a joystick, this puppy is pretty darn close to the best I've seen, period. The only better joystick that I know of would be maybe a Gravis from around the mid 90's. Here are the salient points:1) Do rally games use joysticks to provide handbrake functionality. If YES, then:2) The Thrustmaster USB Joystick you are asking about is one dang good joystick, it's only shortcoming is that it lacks a yaw control for strafing by twisting the stick in a aerial or space combat, but then, usually you can program a key on the keyboard for that.3) If #1 is yes, than I'd have to say that this would be a dang fine joystick, it's sturdy, will last and last, and in terms or hardware it's a real trooper. Common horse sense says, yes, you will have no problem so long as rally games are designed to utilize joystick input.
