This review will clear up all other reviews.I needed a pump for my aquarium sump which is gravity fed and needed a powerful pump for the return.After buying other pumps which was loud when in use or just didn’t do what it says I finally came round to this pump.I ordered the 1500ltr hour pump, at 1st sight I was happy but was short lived when I plumbed it up.It did t come with a 21mm pipe attachment only a 12 and 14mm. The pump didn’t even lift the water to 1.2 meters! The flow was approx 600ltrs an hour.I then sent it back and bought the 2500lhr pump and the lift is very good and came with the correct pipe fittings. The unit is larger than the smaller model and the output is some where near 1500ltrs hour and not what is stated.As for ultra quiet, yes it’s the quietest one I’ve purchased but it’s not that quiet. The humming is fairly loud but no vibrations like others. I hope this clears up any confusions. That said I would recommend this unit and if I experience any issues, il update my review but at time of writing it’s all ok. 21/1/2020 ***update*** it’s been a week and I’m returning the pump. the humming has become very loud and trying to watch tv is annoying. I’ve currently put a towel round it to block the noise.

I use this pump when I do my weekly water changes. I pump the water for my under sink RO water bucket directly to my tank in my living room. The tank and the cabinet are around 1.6m height and the pump is doing just fine. I can see that the flow is a little bit reduced because of this height but in like 5 minutes I get it done and it doesn't bother me so much.I also use the pump in side the bucket to move the water and mix the minerals and the buffers for the RO water and it's dead silent. If you submerge it you can't hear a thing and if you mount it on the side of the container pointing down it can suck down the water to a 2-3cm level which is almost everything.

I bought this as the reviews said it was quite running and I hate noise pumps.I plugged it it after I have put it under water and in place, right from the start I could hear it, was making a humming sound, which got louder as the time went by.Then after 3 hours of it been on, it suddenly started making very loud noises, banging and clattering and I thought it was going to blow up because of the noise it was making, so I quickly had to unplug this and take it out of my tank because I was worried it was going to blow up or do something to my fish, I was just lucky I was at home when it happened as I hate to think what could of happened if I hadn’t.This could of been a bad pump and the ones other people had where fully working ones, or they could of changed the design and now the new ones are not so quiet, so I can’t say if any others will do the same as mine did.All I know is I’m not getting another one of this make, I will look at others that cost a little bit more because like they say, you do get for what you pay for!

I'd been searching for a small but powerful pump for a while. I keep chameleons and need a good pump to supply water to their drip feeders. This is perfect because it will pump water from a bucket on floor level to containers above the vivariums. This will save me time and will ensure they never run dry. I just connected the pump to a timer and was good to go.It's been designed well, is great value and perfect for what I want it to do. I'll more than likely be buying another in the future.

Needed a submersible pump for a garden feature, didn't want anything too powerful, saw this item and decided to give it a try, sadly far too powerful for my needs, the ejected water would spray far too high and not necessarily drop back into the reservoir, just splash over the garden Also unable to adjust the flow or reduce the outlet to the water feature, ideal for larger water features than the one I have. Ideal I would think or for draining aquariums small ponds etc...

I bought this pump purely to help out when doing a full tank water change of my 55ltr fish tank. As the goldfish I have are already accustomed to the filter pump, they were not distressed by this water pump as it's quite quiet. In my use case scenario I needed some plastic water tubing to attach to the outflow fitting of the pump, but other than that this is a very powerful pump. It was able to empty the 55ltr tank in approximately 20 seconds.As this is only a water pump and not a filter pump, there is little to no user serviceable parts inside, no filter to clean. Dependent on what you wish to use this pump for, you may find the power cord a little short but on the whole, this is a very capable pump for most situations.

Needed this type of pump to use as a sump return, wanted something with a head height of over 1.4 metres. Description states 1500 L/Hr - with a max head height of 1.6 metres, thought it would be perfect for what I needed. How wrong I was, for starters the flow is nowhere near 1500 L/Hr even directly out of the pump with no pipe attached, secondly, max head height is a complete lie, at 1.2 metres the flow was reduced to a mere dribble, anything over 1.2 metres and water completely stopped, it does not have enough power to pump even a drip of water passed 1.2 metre height. Wish I hadn't wasted my money.

After two months I decided to clean my tank, which involved switching the pump off.When Id prepared the tank and was ready to start the pump again, nothing happened. After changing the fuse, cleaning the pump and checking the circuits there was power going to the pump but it ceased to work.. it might as well have been a paperweight.Very poor quality build
