This is a classic pencil. This is great for sketching and shading. I have tons of these pencils in my art kit. A must have.

These are good pencils. Perfect for sketching and they will sharpen to a fine point. The lead is good quality and can go down very dark. One pencil lasted me for a while too...was enough to get me through 4 large drawings. I'm buying more.

Most of my artwork is in pencil and charcoal. I especially like the ease of blending with the Kimberly 9XXB. I can get the darkest black using this graphite pencil and not get that annoying shine. If you prefer a sharp point, you will need a pencil sharpener with a larger hole to accommodate the pencil's larger size. I would recommend this product.

I bought these since I wish I could just buy the darker pencils since I run out way faster than the rest.These pencils are great. Definitely worth having. But they are thick and do not work in my sharpener… The one that came with the previous kits. So I was taking them out to my belt sander in the garage to sharpen them.Still, I used this pencil for most of my deer.

These are excellent pencils for the serious artist. Deep black can now be achieved without the annoying sheen caused by regular graphite pencils.

No other pencils like generals

this pencil broke as soon as I used it. I sharpened it and it broke again. It is nice and dark though but honestly, about as dark as a Faber Castell 8B. Not too impressive.

I thought it would be darker but it was a little bit darker than 8B 9B graphite. I’m gonna use it, I was just expecting to be “blown away”. Shipping was fast, seller professional, it just didn’t live up to the hype for me.
