Punch Bunch SL4-BIRCH SlimLock Large Punch-Birch 2.25"X1.25"

This Birch Leaf paper punch cuts through 90-lb heavy cardstock with ease and reliability. Its SlimLock feature allows for the punch to be stored in shallow under-desk drawers.

The only thing I wish was different about this punch is that it had come in a larger size but I knew what I was getting when I ordered it. I was in charge of decorating for our VBS program this year and I used this punch to cut out THOUSANDS of little leaves that were glued to paper vines. It punched its little heart out! The paper I was using was Kraft paper so it was pretty thin and when I cut single layers it could get a little fiddly. That was entirely the paper, not the punch. When I folded the paper over a few times and punched several layers at once it was perfect. It cut card stock like a dream. And like I said, I did thousands of leaves and the punch still works great with no issues.

Love this leaf punch. Wish they made some with tags and circles. Love how it locks shut and stacks. Doesn't tear your paper when it releases like some other one I won't mention. (MS) You can view where your cutting by just turning it over. I would recommend this to my friends for sure.

The product is easy to use and cuts superbly. The reason this did not get five stars is because it's quite heavy and the paper has to go in quite far to use it, which means it's difficult to use smaller papers and conserve paper. A piece of paper must be at least 7.25 cm x 7.25 cm to use it, and the cutout uses about a 3rd of that.

Used this to make a guest book tree for a wedding. It worked perfect. Very durable. Punched about 200 and it didn't lose any crispness in the punches.

Once I learned how to open this punch, I was impressed by its sturdiness. It is a new brand for me. I like that the cutout leaves fall directly onto my craft table rather than have to unload them like other punches. It is a little stiff to use, but the cutouts are really nice, and I think the punch will last a long time.

I wanted a sturdy punch because I needed approximately 500 leaves and there were options less expensive. We literally got 10 leaves before the punch stopped working properly. Technically, it still works, but one needs to "pump" the lever hard 8-15 times to get one leaf. Even with standard non-cardstock paper. I've taken to using my foot while standing to pump the lever. What's most disappointing is that my kids can't help...way too difficult for them. Definitely not worth the price.
