My husband wanted these to protect his shoes from wearing down on one side. They work very well except for one problem. If you nail these onto rubber soled shoes, the nails tend to work themselves out and you have to re-attach them.One benefit not mentioned in the description is if you and your husband get separated in a store, just listen for the loud clicking noise and you'll track your husband down in no time. When I'm with my husband the clicking noise gets on my nerves and I'm kind of embarrassed but what the hell. At least my husband's happy cause he loves them.

It is exactly what I was looking for. Feels very durable, nails were the right size in my case. Have yet to come loose.

My heels were almost worn beyond repair. These saved them. Buy some shoe goo and fill up the space between the plate and heel. Insert nails, pull them out and put shoe goo in the nail holes. Reinsert nails and they will not come loose. Yes. people will hear you coming but they will want to see what you have also. If you don't want the attention, walk by them on the balls of your feet.

The nails heads sent with these are too small and go right through the holes that attach the item to the boot. Plan on having to buy bigger nail heads. Very disappointed

I have been accused of wearing tap-dance shoes, but the plastic one just don't hold up. I used Shoe Glue to help support them to the heel of the shoe. keep an eye on the nails, they do work lose.

I really enjoy the metal heel plates for my work boots. They're a bit large then I had expected but they cling perfectly. I will probably never go to another shoe repair place again since I have these.
