Amazing for young catchers
Bought this for my 11u son after he got thumbed a few times and started trying to compensate in how he caught to avoid it. This has given him greater confidence and he’s had zero complaints!

Worked well for my son
My son used this for a few seasons. It did a great job of protecting his thumb, but the issue was that it wouldn’t stay in place when adjusting his mitt. We hit glued it to a batting glove he uses when catching to keep it in place and that was a fairly solid solution. That’s our only complaint, protection wise it was great.

Got it for my daughter who is 10 catching in a boys baseball league. Held up great and gave her the protection she needed.

Couldn't get to fit
We had similar issues to many others. Once the guard was in place, it wouldn't fit into the glove. Looking back, I'm not sure we couldn't have molded it differently, but the instructions were very poor. We tried to base it of off the cover photo. My son said he'd rather play with a bruised thumb than try to use this. I feel like this was a waste of money, unfortunately. I was hopeful based on some of the reviews, but it didn't work for us.

Returned for something more comfortable
My catcher wanted one of these for awhile so we finally got it and it wasn't as comfy as it seemed it would be. we ended up returning it for a gel one which works great!

This was very comfortable and easy to use

Good but not the best
If I knew the instructions I probably wouldn’t have bought it. It arrives soft and very flexible and per instructions it’s suppose to stiffen up in 30 min once it’s taken out of the package well it started to harden a lot sooner and made it difficult to shape it. I would have to buy another one to get it just right.

Great product!
Easy to mold and does exactly what it is supposed to do. The small/medium is the right fit for my 13 year old boy’s hand, and he is on the bigger side for his age.
