Good clear static film - supports a dash cam
I recently asked whether this static film could hold up a dash cam on a windshield and got a lot of "No, it can't, it's just for inspection stickers" answers, but I decided to try it anyway. Short answer: it holds up my dash cam just fine.Longer answer: I did prepare the windshield before I applied the film. I washed off the haze that develops on the inside of the windshield with water and a microfiber cloth. Then I used a mild glass cleaner and washed the area where I planned to stick the static film, and wiped it dry, then let it sit for a few minutes for any chemicals to evaporate. While it was doing that I then cut the film down to about a quarter of an inch larger the dash cam's sticky pad, plus a couple of little tags (another quarter of an inch) that I could use to pull the film free if i needed to reposition it. I then wiped the area I was going to stick it with a damp sponge, just enough to leave a little water that the film could slide around on easily - too much water is better than too little. If it shifts, I slide it back into position. Then take the edge of a credit card and scrape the bubbled to the edge of the film and gone. If you can't get them out, lift a corner and push them that way. I then pushed the film flat, hard, for a few seconds, and that was it for the day. I came back the next day and stuck the dash cam sticky mount to the film, carefully aligning the dash cam for level since I didn't want to move the static film unless I needed to.That's it! The dash cam has stuck to the static film for a couple of days now, and the film is still stuck to the windshield. I don't know whether it would hold every dash cam, but it's holding mine. (Note: it's working on plain window glass, not the "frit" - black dots that windshields have in some places.)Note: if it falls off I'll come back and update this. Even if it does, though, I won't change the rating - it's good static film and the seller didn't promise it would hold a dash cam, so I won't penalize them if it doesn't.

Not useful.
Edit: whoa they gave me a refund. That was cool of them. They also updated their description to be more clear that it needs to be a front facing sticker.I was of the impression this would turn a sticker - which I believe has adhesive on the BACK - into a STATIC DECAL - which traditionally is sticky/static on the FRONT. If you follow the directions, you get a sticker with no sticky back that will not cling to the front OR back. I thought, maybe I did it wrong. So the 2nd sticker, I did the opposite of the directions. If you use it that way, you will have a static cling decal that sort of works, that has a lovely view of the BACK SIDE of your sticker. Good luck friends. As for me I get to buy new parking decals for my car. See photos. 1) followed instructions. 2) tried the other way- doesn’t stick. 3) tried the other way - static cling of the back of my sticker. I have four college degrees, so if someone actually found these to fit the purpose please let me know where I messed up lol

So far so good
When I first started doing ride share I laminated the stickers and used a double sided suction cup to attach it to my windows because I didn’t want to display the logo at all times.I just got new decals and have been meaning to go to staples to get them laminated but have been putting it off since it’s a bit out of the way. I’m am glad I did because On a random thought I went and searched ideas of how other people were putting their stickers up temporarily and I saw a post about turning them into static cling but it was big sheets and about $10-$11 and I really did not need that much when I likely would use it once then lose it rest in the garage. After a quick amazon search I found theses and I loved that it was about half the price and did not come with a bunch of extra. I just stuck the sticker and cut the size. I think these will be great!

Awesome stuff
Been using this for the last 2 years, its just awesome, makes vehicle registration sticker replacement easy. This is type of product to use if you have windshield UV & ceramic film.Nothing should be placed in-between the windshield and cling material. Apply to a clean interior windshieldThis product is made for front facing self adhesive stickers for inside of the vehicle to be viewed from outside the vehicle, examples registration/parking/school/government/toll road stickers, if the adhesive is on the back of the sticker this is not the product, but still will work but with extra effort which I wont go into here. You attach your sticker to the cling material or driver/inside of the material which is done before removing the protection slip, the white slip removed is the side that "clings" to the windshield. Then the "Cling material" should be attached directly to the glass again nothing in-between.

For those of you who TINTED your windshield & wanted a car camera
For those of you who TINTED your windshield but wanted to put a car camera, this is THE THING to get!!!I live in Vegas and the crazy heat doesn't even peel this off.A word of advise is, use a larger piece of sticker to avoid peeling, and it can hold heavier things too.For example, I use about a 3" x 4" cut sticker and then stick my car camera on it (with a 3M adhesive of about 1"x 1" big). With the crazy here, there's been no issues for the last few months.Even if I had to remove the sticker, it would not ruin the tint a bit

Perfect for rideshare
I have a tinted windshield and the uber sticker is too sticky for my liking so I got these. They work as I wanted. I stuck the uber sticker to it then stuck this to my windshield. Easy off, easy on and easy to clean. It is a vinyl cling. It does not have anything “sticky” on it or any type of adhesive. it will stick to glass. if you find it is not sticking then clean your glass and make sure the cling is clean as well. Then check to make sure you didn’t put your sticker on the backing that is NOT cling. the backing must be removed to use the cling. the cling is clear. I remove the cling whenever I am not working. No issues with taking it off and on repeatedly.
