Portable AM/FM Radio, Battery Operated Analog Radio, AC Powered, Silver (RF-2400D)

So I see a bunch of other radios that are 100% identical to this one on amazon. They run a bit cheaper, but look the same. I went with the name brand version even though other companies probably just stamp their name on it at the same factory. So maybe go with one of its identical predecessors if you are tight on funds. Anyway, the radio is very very loud for its size. It's a little smaller than a loaf of bread. The power cable is very tight when inserting it into the radio so be cautious when doing so. The signal never drops, due to the large antenna. If you are looking for a nice radio for a good price this one is worth it.

Perfect. Reminds me of the good old days. Loud and great sound. Its not Dolby Atmos but it definitely does the job. Simple to operate and very portable.

I was initially hesitant to buy this because of the price (just shy of $50) for an analog tuner but honestly this is probably the best quality radio I’ve ever owned. I bought this to play as background music for my cats, set to the classical music station, and the reception is perfect! Every station comes in perfectly clear and crisp. The volume can go up quite high and the controls are easy and straight forward. It’s also nice that you can use it with batteries if you want to bring it outside or use in power outage situations. Highly recommend!

I got this so my little anxious dog can have something to listen to while I'm out at work. I usually leave it on the jazz or classical music channel. When I leave it works fine, and volume is a little on the lower side so as to not disturb my neighbors. When I come back from work, however, it's as if the volume dial is loose and moves down. The station has a lot of static noise despite being fine in the morning, and the sound starts going in and out. It doesn't seem to do this when I leave for work in the morning however. Everything sounds fine. To be honest, I probably just forgot how radios work or are supposed to sound haha.

I bought the black Panasonic RF-2400-K to listen to music and talk radio while doing my daily cleaning and chores around the house, and it has quickly become one of my favorite purchases. I've tried several radios over the years, but this one stands out for a simple reason: it just works. It's small enough to sit on a kitchen counter, bookshelf, or laundry room shelf without taking up much space, but it's not so tiny that it gets lost or feel flimsy. I can easily carry it from the kitchen to the laundry room or out to the garage when I'm working on projects. The built-in speaker gets plenty loud for vacuuming, washing dishes, folding laundry, or cleaning the house. I also love the old-school analog tuning dial. No apps, no Bluetooth pairing, no updates, and no complicated menus. Just turn it on, find a station, and enjoy. There's something refreshing about a radio that focuses on doing one thing well. What I appreciate most is the combination of size, portability, and volume. It's compact enough to take anywhere around the house, yet powerful enough that I can hear it clearly while I'm busy with daily chores. For me, that's exactly what a good portable radio should be. If you're looking for a small, portable, loud, and reliable radio for everyday use, I think this is one of the best options available. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy it again!!

Good sound and good tuning. Uses AA batteries or AC. Small. Just right. Good for power outages here in FL! Good for the beach.

I almost ordered another Amazon Echo, but I decided to buy this Panasonic radio in an attempt to help soothe a little dog that we adopted. I didn’t really appreciate how cool it actually is until I started using it. It has good sound and a classic, utilitarian design. There’s also something incredibly satisfying about using the antenna and dials.

I've had this radio for years. It still sounds and works as great as the day it arrived. This is the perfect garage/office/kitchen radio that sits up on a shelf out of the way. Stations come in crystal clear on both the AM and FM side of the dial. The volume and sound quality are both great. Using it is simple. Turn it on when you want it on. Turn it off to turn it off. There are dials for volume and tuning. A button allows you to switch between AM or FM. That's it. The tuning knob has surprisingly delicate touch and sensitivity, allowing you to really "dial in" the station, an experience that is lost with digital tuners and often overlooked on cheaper analog models. It's probably the radio's best feature, alongside its sound quality. Admittedly, it's not the most feature-packed radio. In addition to no digital tuner, there are also no memory banks to save stations. No sleep function or alarm. No Bluetooth or SD card slot. Good! You probably don't need any of that and models that try to pack every imaginable feature into one small radio often don't do any of them very well. The interface becomes complicated or tedious to use. They also burn through battery life unnecessarily. You just want to listen to news, tunes or talk and that's what this does. Probably the fanciest thing about it is that you can use it either plugged in or pop in some batteries and take it with you to the park or on a road trip. It works great either way. Good value. Highly recommended.

This compact wall/battery powered single 4" speaker radio has great tone and volume control for its compact size. The digital FM lock keeps fiddly stations in tune and steady volume. Battery power apparently is long-lasting (not tested yet), so the radio is portable and works in power-failures! Tuning is easy and obvious with a highlighted bar and locks well. The volume, around the side and behind the tuning know is a bit of a nuisance as is the sliding on/off-FM-AM 'switch" which is a single glider above the tuner frequency bar, which takes getting used to because the radio is not heavy and one-handed on/off, FM, AM control takes a bit of practice. However, compared with radios generally, it is a bargain and a very good quality unit that works well even with weak radio signals.

One of the best gadget purchases I've made in recent years. Expensive but worth every rupee I paid. Tidy, compact, elegant design. Lightweight yet feels sturdy enough. Nice big tuning knob but, more importantly, good signal reception. Relative to the size of the unit itself the speaker is surprisingly powerful and clear. It is made for the US market so the AC power cord is no use here unless you have a step-down transformer and plug adapter. But this was not a concern for me since portability is important for me, so I only use this with batteries anyway. Would've been great if it had short wave. Can't have everything, I guess. I wish I'd found this radio earlier instead of messing around with cheaper, inferior products.

Todas las estaciones las capta sin problema, sonido alto sin distorción, muy analógico, antes de este había comprado un Aiwa pero lo tuve que vender porque no captaba bien las estaciones en Celaya pero en León si funcionaba. Impresionante señal la de este equipo, pareciera que esta conectado a internet ya que no se escucha la típica interferencia de las radios analógicas, tamaño pequeño con un gran volumen. Muy recomendable
