Oldham 1005824 10-Inch 24T General Purpose Stacked Dado

This dado set is pretty impressive so far. I have had some challenges keeping wobble to a minimum but I think that has more to do with my table saw than anything else. I will say that for anyone looking to get this, be sure your arbor bolt is long enough to accommodate doing the larger dado's...I found out (after I purchased this) that my arbor bit won't do anything longer than half inch and this Dado set is good for up to 3/4" which is pretty frustrating stuff. Overall pretty decent construction and I like the carrying case.

I bought this about a year ago and have used it numerous times over the past year. Very nice dado set that stores safely, and is easy to use and SHARP. Quality cuts every time and I now have records on what blades and shims to use for various sized cuts. Can't go wrong with this set.... I highly recommend it.

I purchased for use in making fence post caps (I built a 7' tall redwood fence with 2x6 redwood frame) due to the large size needed. It worked very well and made the cutting process much faster.

I agree with the previous reviewers for the most part. This is an excellent price for a set of 10" Dado blades. Included is a set of shims which should make setting precise widths a breeze. I have not used the shims but I have run a bunch of 3/4" depth passes to form a set of lap joints for some 2 x 4s. The bottoms are not especially smooth so I take it that the chipper blades may vary a bit in diameter. For what I was doing this did not matter but for precision work keep in mind that you may to have to clean up the bottoms of wide passes for a perfect fit. Nice addition to my shop.

Very nice dado set, heavy duty worked great for the job we were using it for. I would have no problems recommending it.

Did the job. Easy to use. Actually cut my work time by 80%. Have a lot more uses for it. Loaned to my son so he could build a work table. Went online to find out how to set it up on my saw. Wished I would have gotten one years ago.

I have used this dado several times, and it makes clean accurate dados. I would highly recommend this item and its reasonable cost makes it a great buy.

I got these set up to makes some dadoes in 1/2" plywood and right away the cut was just perfect. I did use a zero-clearance insert and sacrificial fence as well as a featherboard to keep the work pressed down, but I really didn't expect the bottom of the cut to be so nice. The set comes with four 1/8" chippers and one 1/6" chipper. Edit: 5 years later and this set is still going strong! Just did the pictured 7/16" deep, 0.714" dado in that piece of pine. Terrifically smooth sides and bottom.
