There are a LOT of competitors out there & a lot of products that claim to do the same things. Some even claim to be better. In my experience though, it simply isn’t true. I’m no chemist or anything, but DeoxIT hit on something with their products. They ALL work well, doing exactly what they claim that they will, and doing it without causing any downstream issues. This is especially true of F5 fader lubricant. I make sure to keep a small can of this in each of my guitar cases & a larger one with my amps. Simply because it works really WELL & never has failed me. I’ve also tried a lot of the others, but they invariably either don’t seem to lubricate well enough to begin with, or they introduce additional problems such as catching & holding onto contaminates which can cause noisiness and intermittent cutting out. I try to stick with what I know works. This works.

Works great and fast. Highly recommend it for all your audio control needs for static and dirty potentiometer.

Great product! I proceeded to lose the mini tube it came with almost right away. The nozzle is a bit narrower than the tube you find on other products so they don't fit, at first. I used a 3/32nd drill bit gripped with a pliers to gently widen the nozzle. Then the WD tube I had fit perfectly! I suggest using a brand new applicator tube if you go this route. Enjoy!

I had a volume pot on my guitar that was scratchy and misbehaving. I always have a can of Deoxit D5 laying around, but it would only fix this issue for about a week. I don't smoke and I don't gig, so I wasn't sure what was wrong with the pot. Before I went through the trouble of replacing it (which I can do, but I hate soldering), I thought I'd try a little of the F5 fader spray. I hadn't used any of the F5 since my studio days 30 years ago, but boy did it do the trick! I got it about 3-4 months ago and gave the troublesome pot a single spritz. It has been whisper quiet ever since. I bought the small can because I don't foresee myself using a lot of this stuff, but the can is ridiculously small. For the price its a far better deal to get the normal sized can.

Great for those noisy pots. If you don’t know what a pot is then don’t use this. Take your vintage stereo equipment to a professional.

Buying the small can made sense. Only had my receiver/amp and equalizer to clean/lube the pots and switches. Don't believe I used more than 1/4 of it. Good product and happy with results. Loses 1 star because of cost.

I used this product to clean the potentiometers (volume and tone) of both my guitar and bass guitar. They were making a lot of noise when using them, and even stop working at some positions. I opened the back of my instruments and use the S setting on the product's valve to spray in the holes right below the cable soldering area in the potentiometer and then played with them to make sure everything got cleaned. It took me like 2 or 3 applications for each potentiometer for it to clean it thoroughly. I am so happy with the results: all noise disappeared and the movement feeling is as good as a new instrument. Very happy with this product.

If you have old audio equipment like a Sansui QRX 4500 with slide switches for your balance or front rear speakers this will eliminate any static from corrosion or oxidation that has built up over the years from not being used. A must purchase.

Expensive Cure, leaves no questions why. This is amazing, after inserting the hose, turn spray nozzle to low and try your nearest headphone slider (rotary pot/volume). Strong blast, clears out everything, won't harm circuitry, and leaves a great slider contact surface. I've tried'em all, and DeoxIt rules. Not even a close second place!
