Delta-Sigma Data Converters: Theory, Design, and Simulation

Many good examples but a little bit outdated
DSM has been studied for many years. Most of the mathematics were published. Still there are some updates coming after 2000. It's a pity that the book cannot keep updating. Otherwise the contents are good.If it can provide more design examples, that will help more novices to study along.

This reads terribly, like stereophonic audio device instructions.

Bible for Sigma Delta ADC design
This along with Green Book (Understanding Delta-Sigma Data Converters by Richard Schreier and Gabor C. Temes) & the Blue book (Oversampling Delta-Sigma Data Converters: Theory, Design, and Simulation by James C. Candy and Gabor C. Temes ) form a triad of delta sigma ADC books you will have to read, if you are serious about understanding, designing delta sigma ADC and getting it to work in silicon.

this is one of the three most useful texts published on this topic
As one other reviewer commented, this is one of the three most useful texts published on this topic. Personally, I found 'Understanding Delta Sigma Data Converters by Richard Schreier and Gabor C Temes a generally more useful book for those actively designing Sigma Delta converters, as it contains a large number of useful and flexible Matlab tools (also freely available on the web), along with worked examples. What this book does contain - which Schreier's other book does not address in such a clear manner - is a neat practical analysis of the transfer function of CIFB structures, presented from a 'standalone' viewpoint, that's easier to follow and allows designers to use CIFBs in applications other than pure Sigma Delta converters, without getting bogged down in intractable calculations. I've not found this anywhere else in the literature or on the web.Highly recommended
