Freeze Defense Men's 3-in-1 Winter Jacket Coat w/Vest

First things first. The supplier has provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. You will absolutely not be dissatisfied if you buy from them. Second, this is a really good coat for the price and very warm. As to the customer service, by the sizing chart, there is no question I would require a medium, which is what I ordered. It was a bit too large even when there was heavy clothing under it. The vest could be secured in more places, I found it a little awkward to get into with arms going in between the vest and the inside of the coat, but Chris (with the manufacturer) said they are already addressing that and some other issues. Anyway, I decided to simply order a small, determine which size I liked best and then send the other one back. As soon as I placed the second order, I got a very nice and insightful e-mail from the Chris asking if I just wanted two of them or was unhappy with the size. I indicated that size was the reason, and he then explained that it was the Amazon sizing chart, not theirs, that is shown. He offered to send a small with a return label, told me to pick the one I wanted and send the other back at no charge. The small is snug (I'm 5'8', 155 pounds) but it is really warm and comfortable, keep that in mind when ordering. I very highly recommend this coat and this company.

Super warm. Quality seems great. Love the hood with it's button-able face-flaps. Lots of pockets. Vest comes out and goes in easily. Just to reiterate what the manufacturer states about sizing: Calculate your chest/torso measurements as a couple inches bigger than they are, because the outer parka is the garment being sized, and it has to accommodate the vest inside, the vest functionally adding a couple inches to your body size. If you have no intention of wearing the vest under the coat... do not add the extra couple inches to your measurements. Awesome product, made in USA, and at a very reasonable price! Gotta love that.

Was advised after reading reviews to order one size larger, so no problem with fit. Also, my husband went ice fishing this weekend and was exposed to -20 wind chill on the lake. This coat was put to the test and my husband was kept toasty warm. It is a great coat, highly recommend if you need to keep warm and protected from winter elements, just not good for driving in, its only downfall, so its kept in vehicle to change into once we arrive to our destination. I would buy it again, definitely worth purchasing.

I bought the 4XL coat. This coat contains a inner vest liner that may be taken out or worn itself.This is a heavy coat suitable for very cold weather. You will find it is a lot of coat! Even with the vest liner out, it still quite thick and is probably too warm for the 50s or warmer; you may want to also have a lighter coat or jacket for such occasions.The coat, fully assembled, fits about right; with the liner out, it fits a little loose. The liner/vest can also be worn on it's own; this fits kind of tight.The upper snap popped off but the coat is otherwise is of high quality; the snap towards the bottom is holding fine. The zipper teeth appear to be plastic like but seem tough. The zipper handles appears to be metal.For a 4XL coat, it might be nice to have a little bit more room towards the bottom.The coat also has a detachable hood which is nice. Be careful when driving; if you leave the hood attached but push it back, it can block your peripheral view when changing lanes; be careful out there.Overall I am satisfied with the coat.

The coat is great. I live in western NY and it gets cold here. The coat keeps me very warm and fits well. Lots of pockets too. The vest is nice and snug the way I like it. Be warned though it better be 15(F) or below or you will need to unzip the coat a bit or you will sweat. The hood is nice and thick and keeps your head warm in the freezing wind and snow. At this price you cannot go wrong.

This coat is well made BUT way too bulky, and sizing is off. 2XL felt more like 3XL if not larger. Hard to move around in it. And it is a heavy coat, so we're back to drawing board. Looking for down filled coat from now on. This one would be awesome if not made for HULK.

I am a cold-natured person anyway. This coat works. Plus the added opportunity to unzip the vest, to enjoy any cool or cold weather conditions. I love it. I feel like a polar bear when I wear it. Of course, in Oklahoma we've only had one really cold spell so far. More next week. So far, I'll be wearing it from Christmas weekend till whenever.

Very warm sturdy jacket. It has to be below 15 degrees F. or I get too warm in this jacket and that is without the zip in vest. But I wanted a jacket for the cold and this fits the bill. It is bulky so be ready for that. I'm 5' 5' 140 pounds and the medium jacket fits me well. I recommend this jacket.
