The best plants for this would be Bromeleads, Creeping Fig, Maidenhair Fern, Philodendron, Maranta (Prayer Plant), Sword Fern, Peperomia, Devil's Ivy, Spider Plant and Silver Queen. These plants all like to vine and/or spread out so they fill in nicely! Hope this helps!

Would this work for for Herbs indoors?

Yes! Actually it's perfect for herbs! The easiest herbs to grow indoors are chives, mint, parsley, oregano, thyme, rosemary, basil and cilantro. And all of these can be planted in the 12 pocket planter.

I have a question about the product shown. It shows a planter on the bottom of it, is this needed? Where do you get it from? I really like the look.

Hello! If you are referring to the white stand at the bottom, this is a promo picture and someone just set it up that way. Look at the other pics, they may be more helpful. All you need is a nail or a hook and you can hang them directly on the wall! It's very easy and the plastic lining protects the wall and floor from water. Hope you give it a try!

It also looks free standing, is it? How tall?

Oh no,no,no not free standing. It's about 3 ft tall. We were going to use ours indoors but started with it outside. It looks great hanging on a lattice divide. I can't imagine hanging it indoors with the way that it drains- unless you build a box under it like the photo. It is an interesting way to display herbs or hanging plants outside. It's extremely durable!
