Behringer DR600 DIGITAL REVERB Digital Stereo Reverb Effects Pedal

Let's start off with the incessant complaint about Behringer pedal durability: For what the DR600 costs, you are getting very good electronics at a low price and a durable (but probably not so much for professional hard-gigging stuff) plastic case. I have four other Behringer pedals and they are standing up to regular use. No, I am not a professional musician. Now the good stuff: It has clear, distinctive control over spring, plate and hall reverb with decent time control. I'm not sure what room modulation does with this unit but I can't hear a change. I'm using either plate or spring. The level control is effective and the tone control is satisfactory. A bonus is that it has stereo A/B inputs for a stereo setup. I am mono, but it is a bonus for some. Now, a complaint (and one that I truthfully cannot 100% isolate to this pedal): It appears to add a weird electronic burbling feedback to my pedal chain and amps. It is low enough that I only hear it when I am not playing. If I kick the off switch it (mostly) disappears. Moving my in/out cord from the A jack to the B jack helped. For the price and sound, I can live with it. I am very happy with it. Think price and good competitor circuit emulation.

I really like this little Behringer Digital Reverb. I have owned other Behringer equipment in the past, always with good results, so I had no problem trying them again. It may not be what the pros use, but it’s perfect for my situation and at an unbelievable price! I just have a 30-watt transistor amp, that I just use for practice and self-entertainment. The built in reverb is broken and it doesn’t have any extra jacks on the back, for external effects to plug into, so I just needed something that I could run between my guitar and my amp, that didn’t cost too much and that’s exactly what I found. It’s not an extremely profound reverb, but with all of the control knobs, “Level”, “Tone”, “Time” and especially the “Mode” knob, with 7 choices, including a classic “Spring” mode, you can dial in a variety of sounds and probably find at least 1, that meets your needs.

Recently set up a stereo guitar rig using an amp without reverb and wanted to liven up the sound a bit. This pedal does an incredible job. I was able to dial in a great fender-type reverb tone in seconds with the reverb level set very low. You can increase the reverb level to insane amounts where it sounds like you're in a mile wide chamber inside a cave. Most will probably set it really low like me, but trust me -- more reverb than you could ever want, and then some, is yours when you get this pedal. I had a 80's DOD Reverb pedal long ago and back then the technology to make it sound like built-in amp reverb just wasn't there. This Behringer Reverb pedal changes everything. There are quite a few reverb mode options, but at low settings they all sound nearly the same to me -- I leave it parked on the "spring" setting. The stereo image is convincing and if you want to completely fog your guitar sound with reverb live or for recordings, this is what you need. I do have the same gripes about Behringer pedals I've always had -- plastic case, hard-to-replace footswitch when you eventually break it. It's a stomp box, but please don't stomp on it. Actually baby it, these are pretty fragile. My typical toss it into a milk crate from across the room when you're packing up doesn't apply to these. Why do they still use plastic? There's so many sub $20 pedals out there in rugged metal cases -- why can't Behringer find a way to price these like a plastic pedal or just put them in a metal case with a standard (and replaceable) metal footswitch that clicks when you press it. 1 star off for stuffing a great pedal circuit into a plastic case. Everything else is perfect.

I have no idea what I am doing. I have been playing guitar for close to 16 years but not consecutive years more like, year one repeated 16 times over. So I would call myself a sucky intermediate guitar player. You don't want to hear me Gig because I can't. I don't know any songs all the way through. I get the main riff down or any other part I like, then quit that song and move on to another one. What does that have to do with this guitar pedal? Well it sounds just fine to me and it works or at least I think it does. If it is supposed to sound like you are playing in the bathroom then yes it works great. Now if this guitar pedal was supposed to give me the skills of Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn then well it is a fail. I wanted to buy the pedal that makes me play and sound like David Gilmore but I could not find that one. So I am pretty sure if your reading this then you probably don't gig, are stuck in intermediate hell and only play for those whom you wish to punish. If your friends and family say things "like seriously dude learn something other than the A minor penatonic scale and two power chords, we are sick of it" then this is the right pedal for you. It has a knob and if you turn it it sounds like your playing in a bathroom. Turn it another way and it sounds like your playing in an air raid shelter with no one else around (they left because you suck just like me). Turn it even another way it sounds like your playing at Carnegie Hall except no one came to see you play. So if that is what reverb is supposed to do it works great and I think easy to use because I really have no idea what I am doing. Oh yes I bought the widgity gigity power supply thing with the pretty blue lights and it works great with that thing. I hate changing batteries.

Great Pedal

i bought this pedal strictly on how inexpensive it was. right out of the box, a few things bothered me: the blue LED indicator is literally blinding, and the reverb sounds weren't as deep as i wanted. this pedal is good for very light reverb, but once you turn the LEVEL knob past halfway, you start to lose the attack on your guitar, as if your guitar sounds more distant and not the space, which is not what reverb is supposed to do. also, the Hall, Spring, and Plate reverbs all sound too similar. i was also not thrilled with the overall tone loss, making it sound thin.i had plans to drive this pedal with a 9V battery, but after 2 days of light tinkering with reverbs, the blinding LED started flashing, indicating low battery. as soon as you plug a cable into the input, it engages the pedal, and turning the effect off does NOT turn the battery off, nor the flashing. so it seems to me that Behringer designed them this way to seemingly get you to either buy the AC adapter with it, or to use it with the Behringer pedalboards. this pedal would be great for that application, but i'm not thrilled that they didn't give us consumers a real option for power. also, it is quite difficult and tedious to change the battery, thus supporting this thought.the 2 inputs and 2 outputs do make this pedal pretty versatile, but i'm sure you can find that on alot of other pedals. if you were stubborn about Behringer products, and have a power supply for it, spend the extra money and get the RV-600 Reverb Machine. that pedal actually sound pretty decent.

Good Reverb Unit for the Price. Sounds like Spring Reverb that would come installed in a Guitar Amp. It claims 6 Different Reverb Types. They all sound about the same. Just use it with my little Practice amp I keep at home that does not have built-in reverb. I would recommend it for Home Use.

Solid budget reverb pedal. It'll work in a pinch in you need low cost reverb. Lots of good sounds in this thing. But if you're just getting into pedals this is a good place to start. Fuzz and reverb is all you really need.

At first it felt like cheap quality, but the sound, tone and versatility were amazing. I spent a couple hours using this thing as soon as it came in the mail! definitely recommend buying this one because of the huge range of features and sounds.

Para el precio está perfecto, yo lo uso para destacar un poco el sonido de mi bajo, lo tengo junto con algunas distorsiones, un compresor y un preamplificador. No mete ruido. Quizá la calidad del reverb con la perilla del nivel más allá de los tres cuartos sea demasiado artificial, pero no encuentro un contexto en el que esto sea necesario. La construcción es de plástico, pero se ve bien construido.

This is a great sounding reverb for the price you can't beat it. Alot of people knock Behinger pedals because of the plastic housing. I have 3 other Behinger pedals for years now and have had no issues with them at all. The Behinger reverb does exactly what I need it to do for the fraction of the price compared to the name brand pedals. I will admit I'm a Boss pedal fan have several but I needed another reverb and I'm glad I bought this one. I like the fact that it has the stereo feature as that is how I have my set up. I would not hesitate to buy another Behinger pedal when needed.
