Ten Commandments of Dating

I used this book and wrote my own lesson plans for a High School Sunday School class several years ago. I continue to order this book to give to parents/teens for learning God's way of "dating".I actually spent more than 10 weeks teaching this class, but each week the attendance grew, as the word spread that there was a better way to learn about dating.This teaching is desperately needed in our CHURCHES and Homes where our children are bombarded from media, peers and a worldly P.C. society that brainwashes kids into believing that "everything" goes.

Purchased this book for my college daughter and it is very helpful

It was supposed to be written for both sexes, but both my son and I (his mother) found that this book was really targeted girls. It made good points for both sexes, but I felt it lacked substance for the male side and we had some serious in depth discussions on each chapter in order to turn a "girl" topic into a "guy" topic. I tried to show how it would relate to males more and that the commandments were still valid, even if the book lacked male examples.

I loved this book! I had both of my sons read this book and feel it gave them a lot of good information on reasons for dating and what to look for and not look for in healthy dating. It is 10 topics that I wanted to discuss with them and there it was all laid out for them in an easy to read format. We did discuss it as well so it's not a substitute for a conversation but rather a resource for the conversation.

Doctrinally sound. I bought this for our teen boy. I read it first and then gave it to him. The book has excellent points and seemed to be written and presented in a way that is readable (attention keeping) for this generation of teens. Short and to the point. I recommend it.

I think this book is a "must read" for every Middle School Student and their parents. There are so many pressures for teens in regards to dating and expectations that even good kids find themselves pressured to do things they are uncomfortable with. This book gives all kids (Christian or not) permission to create boundaries for themselves that are healthy and safe both physically and emotionally.

The book is in very good shape. What I have read thus far has been great. I believe it will be a great tool for myself and I am sharing with others.

I bought this book for my daughter,14yo; ofcourse I must read it first. This book is easy to read, practical and Biblical. If only I had this resourse when I was going through the dating phase. So much heart ache could have been avoided for me and others... and God would not be misrepresented through my poor choices.
