Perfect for 2 year old
It isn't regular plastic, the keys have a metal feel to them which is nice. I love the phone also, super cute.

Play keys and Phone
I purchased these play keys and play cell phone for my grandbaby to play with so she would leave my real phone and keys alone. The playset is so cute, the keys and the phone are very durable and lightweight. Great way for them to learn and educational also, very realistic, it’s definite worth the money. I recommend this playset.

OMG buy it!
I don't often write product reviews but I felt compelled to review this because I am so thrilled with this purchase. My 14mo son is obsessed with phones and is constantly pulling our phones away and pulling himself up to anywhere there might be a phone. The constant crying when we took our phones away prompted us to get him a toy phone. The added set of keys was just a plus for us, not the main reason for purchase. I cannot put words to the absolute joy on his face and the happy dance in a circle he gave when we gave him this. That experience alone would make this purchase worth it, even if it would have broken right away (It didn't). The sounds are realistic and cute, but no stupid music or songs teaching ABC or counting, etc like most toy phones out there we could find. As some other reviewers mentioned, there is no on/off switch or volume control, which we would have liked, but so far we are not finding that too bad. It is not extremely loud. I was worried the antenna would be delicate and pose a choking hazard, as one reviewer posted, but it looks pretty sturdy. If it comes loose, I will be sure to update this review, as that would definitely be a hazard. My son can be a bit hard on his toys and he already banged this around quite a bit and it seems to be holding up well so far. The realistic metal keys on the key ring are a really cool touch. I don't think he would go for something too toy-like. If you have a phone-obsessed child like my son, I would recommend making sure to act as though you are using it sometimes to have a conversation, as that gets my son really into it. You might also want to take it away sometimes and put it in sight but out of reach, as doing that made my son much more into it.

Refreshingly simple toy phone
I was looking for a toy phone for a toddler friend, but I didn't want the terrible music features, etc. I like that this one has actual buttons, and the sounds are satisfying but few and not nerve-wrackingly annoying. It would be nice if it had a more realistic screen, but I still like it. The keys are metal and seem like a bad idea for a toddler to me, and I won't be gifting them to this 2-year-old.

Metal Keys despite product listing
According to the manufacturer's website, the keys are plastic. I asked an Amazon representative if the keys were metal like reviews stated and they assured me they are plastic. Well, they just arrived and in fact ARE METAL. I figured this would happen, but I took the risk because I really wanted a phone that just had dial sounds and no additional music. Phone is great, and I plan to save the keys and give them to my child next year when they get a power wheels jeep and are old enough not to try to chew on them.

Just what I wanted
It's a phone that makes phone sounds! Perfect. Even the the musical notes is just "speed-dial" arranged to make a jingle. She doesn't really care about the keys as much but my three year old really wanted a phone/something she could push buttons on and make noise. And I wanted something that didn't play music, or sing a song, or act out an entire conversation that she wasn't going to listen to anyway. This phone had none of that, thank heaven. It's just a phone that makes phone sounds. She can make all the noise without the phone taking over and playing with itself for her. Perfect.
