Gift for 12 year old granddaughter. She loves it & is being very creative!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter's birthday - she loves this kind of thing for her room. It has been a big hit - you get lots of letters and emojis to use to make up different phrases. It can be used with batteries as well as plugged into a USB port. Its a good sized product - very lightweight but I suppose once it's set up, it's not going anywhere.One BIG word of warning however - and I've deducted a star from my review because of this - DO NOT use the markers that come with the product. They seem to have provided them to write on the letters and the box. They are NOT dry wipe markers and it is frustrating that they have provided them in the box for children to use. My daughter was distraught that she had ruined her birthday present by using the markers on the box, assuming it would wipe clean (the markers even have a wipe sponge on the lid!). My advice would be to throw away the markers before giving the gift to a child.Thankfully Amazon customer services were great and agreed to send out a new one, but I had to leave a review to ensure other customers don't have the same experience.

Much better than I thought it would be.There are lots of emojis and blank tiles to create your own designs. The letters come in more than one colour but you do not get the full alphabet in any one colour, so it is not always possible to write something in one font, or use an equal mix of lettering.

I purchased two of these as a welcome home / new home gifts for some friends and made a message for them. The item itself is as described and sturdy to use. The volume of 400 letters and emojis gives you plenty of options to spell out anything along with the markers to decorate further. This is much more than the previous one we purchased for our kids and it was alot of fun for the kids to compose the messages.One unexpected benefit of this light box was when their 5 year old was practicing her alphabets and matched the letters she was practicing with those on the light box which delighted her. We then asked her to spell her name using the letters and she was delighted to be able to identify the letters and easily slide them into place.My kids have these and they change the messages every few days depending on their mood. My daughter uses it empower whilst my son uses it to be goofy. They also place messages around the house for guests or just to have fun. They only turn the light on when friends are over, otherwise it stays off.My only complaint about this one is that the letters can't be stored in the side or back of the box like our other ones. We taped the envelopes to the back of the unit so the letters don't get lost.

Wonderful!!! I bought this for my 9 year old grandaughter and we had hours of fun with it. There are loads of emoji and letters and it's very good quality. I don’t often review products but this is really good and well worth the money.
