Ramsey SG7 Speedy Personal Speed Radar Kit

I love Ramsey kits, but this is based on using a certain sized TIN coffee can. Couldn't find a TIN coffee can.

Total junk, Impossible to build exactly right to get to work unless your a electronics expert. Their own site which has a forum has many people who say the same thing having tried to get these things to work which they never do and asking for help which they never get. Periodically they clear it of any bad reports on this piece of crap so people will keep buying it.

soldered it up ok, main board was easy. but it was a challenge closing the small board with the RF parts. Got it working but thought it would be a little more versatile. Wished it came with a power supply or battery pack holder.

I bought this kit to teach my kid to solder. He constructed the circuit board in the photo and I used my skills with a slobbering iron to do the microwave stripline work in the small box affixed to the coffee can. The thing worked perfectly at power up! It was fun for both of us.
