overall it was not a bad book. Professionally written and full of information
The positive things first: overall it was not a bad book. Professionally written and full of information. Probably the best book about ebay that i have read so far. What i didn't like was that the links in the book didn't work. I really wanted to read up on how to remove the background of pictures. None of the links in the book worked. Instead you can read about the expensive services waterhouseresearch sells on their website. To me it's always a turn off when an author tries to sell me his affiliate products or other services, even if it is done with sneaky little links in the book that promise more information but don't end up working.Call me old fashioned, but i like to read books based on the value of information the book provides not to get lured into something else. But like i said before, i did consider the information that i found in this book valuable and helpful. So just the links that didn't work.Number two, and this bothers me on a very personal level because I view myself as a pretty well educated person with many interests. But as i am typing this i just realized that maybe Neil simply didn't express himself very accurately here but probably meant the right thing. When i read that the internet gives us access to nearly 7 billion internet users my jaw literally dropped to the ground. At the time this book was published the world population was approximately 7.1 billion and i can guarantee you that not all of them are internet users. Then he writes that internet users grow by the minute which is true when you consider that the world population continues to grow. So i am giving him the benefit of the doubt here that he probably meant to say the right thing but somehow wasn't very clear about it. My suggestion is to rewrite this very small passage of the book, refer somehow to the world population and thus the 'potential' internet users (i want to believe that this is exactly what he meant) and as the world population grows so will the number of internet users although it will of course never be 100 %.And of course... fix the broken links. Thank you!

NOT JUST FOR EBAYERS.
Very informative book. Some great little nuggets of information in here like best time to sell/buy, best practices for formatting postings, etc. I have several startups in mind in the near future and ebay will probably fall in at the back of the line - but there is a TON of takeaway GOLD from this book about the author's previous business ventures. This is actually the meat of the book in my opinion - what went right and wrong with his earlier businesses and how to move forward in a positive way. Looking for what you want in life and finding a clear path to get there. Regardless if you're selling on ebay, this book has a lot of great information that I recommend for anyone looking to start a business.

Highly suggest...
If you are serious about moving forward as a full time EBAY seller.. you begin to research others wisdom. This gentleman documents his travels and has been extremely successful. Modeling success is simple for those that seek wisdom. If you get in your own way, this book will confuse you because there are so many great ideas. If you understand his purpose of keeping things simple and automating the process, you will truly feel this book is invaluable as I do. "After reading his chapter on feedback I was able to contact ebay and get a negative feedback taken off"! That right there paid for the cost of the book...Thank you for taking the time to reach back and help others that are willing to help themselves. See you at the top!JazzyfashionsMerch

Very informative
I read this right after finishing "eBay for Dummies" and think this is an excellent next step read after learning the basics of eBay. The information is extremely accessible and helps me understand how eBay can really become a viable way to make a living. I wish there had been more information on to address the supply side of things (such as accumulating inventory) and more discussion on realistic planning and timelines for growing an eBay business. But, this is an excellent read nonetheless and well worth your time if you're thinking about going from a casual to a more serious eBay seller. Great book!

FANTASTIC! Well worth the money.
You will not believe how in depth and step by step this book is. It is better than any ten other books combined on this subject. This is the only book you are going to need if you wish to begin selling on eBay AS a beginner or if you wish to go into the eBay big leagues. I have read MANY books on this subject and have even sold about 40 things on eBay. This book is IT. No, I am not related to nor have I ever met or corresponded with the author or his friends or family. Does that cover it? I just wish someone had pointed out the best vs worst books to me a long time ago.

The ONLY reason I won't give this book 5 stars is because I would have liked a chapter discussing the pros and cons of using Amazon FBA to handle storage and shipping. If the author would do a revision including this, it would truly have everything covered. It certainly isn't required, but I think it's something that really has to be considered when deciding how you want to handle shipping.

Good for people looking into an eBay business.
Starting out or already there, this book has tons of great tips and strategies. Only complaint is that it's a fast paced industry and the book Is a little dated and could do with a 2016 update.

Like this book
Like this book. Neil has provided some very informative and basic guidelines for newcomers to eBAY. Some of the ideas could be dated as the book is over 2 years old now. Good reference ....

Great book
A good book for Ebay sellers new and experienced. I would say that most of the book is geared towards new and medium sellers on Ebay which I suppose that's who the book has been aimed at.A good informative read by a very experienced guy.

This book is poorly researched and offers an undeliverable level of expectation to the reader.

Crap
Unsurprisingly this is the crap I expected... I'm not sure why I bought something that was obviously going to be a disappointment..
