Is it quality enough to use everyday or is this just an emergency to use thing

The machine itself is pretty heavy duty! I have a fleet of 40 delivery vans and we change those tires in a breeze with this thing. What we have had problems with, is the SWITCH to go up and down. We have replaced the switch once or twice. I even bought a 2nd one of these just to always have one on hand in case one is down. But I have purchased others, and this is the best I've found.

Does is it retract when it's upside down?

I have had mine for about 2yrs now. it has gotten very very slow, though i see no sign of oil leakage. is there something i could do to fix that?

It clearly says 15 tons in the manual or title, but why did you check 10 tons in the box I received?

Actually it's only 4.5 ton load rating. Less than half the weight of a 10,000lb vehicle. ORDER EXTRA CONTROL SWITCHES. I own 2 of these jacks and you will need them. The jack seams to burn out the rocker switch quickly. I am on my 3rd switch. Both jacks, the up or the down function goes out and the switch is not easy to sodder in a new one. You need at least a 800 watt soder tool. Currently trying to find better switch. I ordered 2pcs momentary polarity reverse switches 12v that look just like the original ones for 11.00 but they do not last long!!!
