MATRIX Mega Sleek Topcoat Hair Serum – For Frizzy Hair, Adds Hair Shine

I didn’t even know I ordered this. My finger must have selected it on accident. But I’m glad it did. It makes my hair so soft. The smell is a little weird out of the bottle but it gets better after it’s on.

This is an amazing product! It was recommended by my hairdresser to help tame frizzies on my over processed hair. Works great!

The Mega Sleek Topcoat Hair Serum has worked very well for me as a heat protectant. I was so sad that Matrix was no longer offering their Mega Sleek Iron Smoother spray, because it was my go-to. I've tried so many other heat protectant sprays, and wasted my money because they weren't a good substitute. I finally decided to give this product a try, even though I prefer a spray or mist application. This is a really good product, with my hair being shoulder length and not very thick, I only need three pumps into a palm. I then rub my palms together and apply this to my hair when its wet, from mid-hair shaft to ends. I either blow dry or allow to air dry, then use my flat iron. This does help to tame frizz somewhat when I blow-dry, but I still need to use the iron to get the least frizz. Overall, I'm glad to have this, even though I still miss the Mega Sleek spray, which was my favorite.

I was so excited to try this product. I don’t know if it’s just my bottle but it smells horrendous. I didn’t open it as soon as I got it. I waited about a month because I was in the middle of packing. But when I finally opened it, it smelled atrocious. I have almost a whole entire bottle left and I can no longer return it because it was past the return date. Needless to say, I will not purchase this item again.

I don't know if it was the seller or what but it smells bad. My hair stylist uses this serum all the time and it smells amazing. This bottle smells off. For the price, pretty bummed.I find the product usually works well on my thick, frizzy, and wavy hair. Without rain or crazy humidity it keeps my hair almost frizz free until I wash it.I normally really like the smell and don't have to use much. However many pumps it says on the bottle is what I use and it works. Probably bad bottle.

This works! It’s the only thing I’ve tried that keeps my hair from frizzing in the humidity, but follow the product’s directions. If you try to use it daily, your hair will dry out.

I have tried a lot of hair serums to control frizz. I like to straighten and curl my hair. If there is even a smidge of humidity in the weather, my natural body in my hair loves to make an appearance. This serum is so good and light weight. I decided to give it a try for a concert on the coast. It was humid, and my curls stayed in perfect shape. I'll be repurchasing this when I run out. I knocked off a star, because the initial smell when rubbing it between your hand is pleasant, then there is a subtle fishy scent. I'm all about smelling good, so this actually really bothered me at first, but you cannot detect that scent once it is in your hair. Matrix is a good brand, and I think they have a true winner with this product.

So I’ve been using 3 days straight for many years, which did well on my curly/wavy hair. However, having reached a certain ages and the heat we’ve had this year, it wasn’t doing so well.So I’ve tried matrix and this is how it’s gone so far.I washed my hair in my usual shampoo/conditioner, then 6 pumps ofTop coat, some leave in conditioner and left it to air dry. Once dried I used my straightener on 220, because of the curl. This always makes me sweat a bit and cause a slight kink at the front, I didn’t hold much hope at this point. However, 4 days later which included light drizzle, several hot flushes, being pulled into a ponytail a few times including overnight, it did amazing well. I didn’t touch up with the straighteners and barring having kink at the front it was still straight. I could run my fingers through easily, so not sticky and didn’t make my type of hair greasy. Value for money will depend on how long it lasts, so can’t say just yet. The weather has cooled as well, but after the first trial it’s looking good. I hope this review helps.

Avant de l’utiliser, j’avais les cheveux assez « mousseux » et difficiles à discipliner, et depuis que je l’utilise, je trouve qu’ils sont beaucoup plus lisses et soignés.Je l’applique sur cheveux humides, avant de les sécher. Comme il s’agit d’un sérum thermo-actif, la chaleur du sèche-cheveux permet d’activer le produit, ce qui s’intègre très facilement dans ma routine.J’apprécie particulièrement le résultat après le séchage : mes cheveux sont plus lisses, moins mousseux et beaucoup plus faciles à coiffer. Je trouve également qu’ils ont un aspect plus soigné sans avoir besoin d’en mettre énormément.C’est vraiment une belle découverte pour ma routine capillaire et, contrairement à certains produits lissants que j’ai pu essayer, j’ai réellement vu une différence sur mes cheveux.💇‍♀️ Pour moi, c’est clairement un produit que je vais continuer à utiliser !

Questo siero è fantastico!! La consistenza del prodotto non è oleosa ma risulta più simile all’acqua e può essere applicato sia su capelli bagnati e sia su i capelli asciutti. Non comprendo i commenti negativi sulla profumazione in quanto identifica alla famosissima fragranza di sol de janeiro ( pistacchio e caramello salato), ad ogni modo l’odore non è sgradevole e svanisce nel giro di qualche ora. Per le mie amiche con i capelli liscissimi questo siero è il top ma se come me siete abituate ad usare ferri o piastra per arricciarli allora in quel caso consiglio di non utilizzarlo perché la piega non durerebbe in quanto il prodotto è formulato per levigare le lamine del capello e su un riccio non naturale rischia di vanificare i risultati della piega ma se usato su un liscio naturale fa il suo bellissimo lavoro, utilizzato da capelli bagnati non crea l’effetto crespo nemmeno lasciato i capelli asciugare senza phon, promosso!
