Once I used it, I found it hard to go back to anything else.

This machine is my go to. Milwaukee continues to impress me with their step up in quality over the years. This machine is pretty light and easy to handle. I can use it in an array of applications and it does the job well. The trigger has a lock button, which is nice. It is truly a slow start machine and doesn’t jerk me when I’m in odd positions detailing boats. The fact that it is cordless makes it that much easier to use. Where this machine is lacking is the backing plate. The backing plate that comes with it breaks pretty quickly. I always keep a spare for that reason. It does not affect how I feel about the machine, so I still say it’s worthy of 5 stars. Overall versatile, a manageable weight, and an overall good machine. I retired my other one the moment I got this Milwaukee.

I picked this up for my small detailing side gigs so I’m not dragging cords across clients’ driveways. The power is good and it keeps a steady speed when I’m working on oxidized hoods. I can swap between cutting and finishing pads without it bogging down, which saves time in my cramped home studio. Battery life on a 5.0 pack gets me through one full midsize SUV exterior, then i usually need a second pack. It’s a bit heavier than my corded unit, so my forearms feel it during a long roof job. Noise level is fine and the trigger feels solid, but i do wish the speed dial had more grip when my hands are covered in compound.

Quality tool

Yo soy fan #1 de milwaukee pero en esta ocasión me fallo, esta pulidora es buena pero comparada con la dw 849 parece de juguete, no es para trabajo es más bien para uso doméstico o corregir algun detalle sencillo, gasta como 2 baterías de 5a solo en el cofre con un pulido intenso para quitar rayones

Excellent piece of equipment and great time saver

La pila grande que tengo, le duró cinco minutos de trabajo. Es inservible para trabajar, no hace su función.
