2 Important Points Regarding These Rubber Isolation Pads
2 Points to make:1. Yes, if your washing machine is not perfectly balanced (something EVERYONE needs to do prior to using the washing machine - check the User Guide for your washer) - the machine will move, a LOT, on these pads. Perhaps if they were built into a permanently-seated (and very solid) platform or base with the same footprint of the washer - where they're not capable of shifting in any direction - perhaps they MIGHT work better. I don't know. (I installed them inside a metal tray/catch basin that's intended to catch any spilled water before it hits the floor and has the chance to leak thru to a lower apartment unit. Perhaps the slickness of the galvanized steel against the rubber feet didn't create enough friction to hold these in place. Also, the washer was meticulously balanced prior to installing them).2. They off-gas a rather strong smell of synthetic rubber - almost to the point where it smells like you've left a spare car tire inside your laundry closet. Honestly, that was enough for me to discard them, apart from the lack of stability. For these [2] reasons: 2 stars.

These pads did not solve the problem I was having at first, but after some additional troubleshooting I have found them helpful.I had moved and had pro movers pack the washing machine. When I hooked up the machine my self I neglected to move the shipping bolts they had installed and the washer was 'walking'. With the bolts in place the machine 'walked' with the pads, though not as much. After discovering the bolts I removed them and though the 'walking' stopped the machine did vibrate more and make noise. I would suggest checking for shipping bolts as the first step in troubleshooting a walking front loader. With the addition of the pads I can no longer hear the machine operating when the laundry room door is closed and it doesn't bang up against the dryer during operation. It purrs like a kitten even with a load consisting of one heavy ski jacket on the highest spin setting.

I was surprised.
They work and they do not smell.I received them and let them sit front of an open window for a couple of days. No smell.I was really surprised how well these help with floor vibrations. I’m sure my downstairs neighbor is happy about it too.

Anti-vibration pads worked well for me
Having just moved into a house with ceramic tile floors in the laundry, I wanted something that would keep my front-loading washer from slithering across the floor and from marring the surface of the floor. So I purchased a packet of these pads and installed them. They worked perfectly for the job and keep the washer right in place. They were a bit difficult to install as my space is very limited, and I need to place these in just the right place for the washer to connect correctly; however, this would not be a problem for someone having easy access to the rear of the washer.I was pleased enough with these pads that I placed a second order for a set of pads for the dryer. It may not have needed them for the same purpose as did the washer, but the pads gave the dryer the same height as the washer which was my objective.

Keeps washer/dryer stack from moving around.
Bought these to use as a base to my new HE Maytag washer, which sits underneath my new LE dryer. Read numerous reviews of people having issues with their washers "walking" around, and after witnessing the spin cycles I didn't want these heavy units taking a trip into my walls.Built a custom wood stacking platform to sandwich between them, purchasing a different set of rubber feet for the base of the dryer, then sinched the whole thing together with a heavy duty ratchet strap. These feet work awesome! Even during the startup to the ludicrous speed spin cycle, the units wobble ever so much, but the stack has stayed stuck to where it was since day one.Glad for all the good reviews on this, these rubber feet fit my washer perfectly, and do the job as intended.

works for me!
I found these things at a store and used them to level my air conditioner that sits at ground level, but having some left over found they work great to put under hot appliances to set on my counter! Under a toaster oven, a crock pot, etc...anything that creates a lot of heat these set up just enough to keep it off the counter top,.

Nasty...not ‘new’...Looks like it’s from someone’s wet basement
I needed to find a match to a set I had as I was using this to elevate something evenly so I was willing to pay a pricey amount approx 10. per little rubber piece with a total around 40. This is NOT what I expect from Amazon. I never imagined I would get something that was so nasty as new. It looks like it has been in someone’s wet basement for over a decade. The box looked chewed on by rodents, it looked like cardboard with water damage and the inside was black like mold. So disappointed....

Works wonderfully. My washer would always vibrate a bit and when I walked near it I could feel the vibrations in the floor. Always annoyed me. The Washer was perfectly balanced, but the spin and agitation cycle just had a lot of movement. After adding these under it (which was a bit of a pain, simply due to having to slide the washer out and lift it up) I would say it was a 90% reduction in vibration.I can stand right next to it now and not feel any vibration in the floor.

Good product but likely won't work
A professional washing machine repairman told me that these aren't worth buying. It's rare to have a floor where this will provide a good solution. In most cases it will lead to the washing machine sliding around.

Good for scientific equipment
I did not buy this for a washer/ dryer, I bought it because my workplace is on the 2nd floor and there is just too much vibration for the equipment to work properly. They work great!!

Secondary use
Purchased these not so much for vibration reduction but for my portable air conditioner with a water drain too close to the floor to empty it without lifting the entire unit of the ground. These pads elevated the unit enough to slide a small container beneath and capture the water without the previous inconvenience.

Très efficace
La laveuse reste bien en place et les vibrations sont considérablement réduites.

They do the job
These anti-vibration pads might be a bit pricey in comparison to others out there, but they are worth investing in, as they cancel most of the vibration created by the washing machine, and they suppress a part of the noise.
