Great radar detector! Such an improvement over my whistler CR85 that died, so i got this. I always wanted the 9500ix but did not want to spend $300+ for one.

Purchased this for my second car as I have another Escort in the first one already and am familiar with the brand. Not much to say other than it lives up to the escort name. Easy to program either on the device itself or through the app which is downloadable. Didn't rate suction or mounting system as I have never like any of the suction devices that come with car accessories. Instead I purchase one of the items that attaches it to the mirror which I find more stable. Definitely recommend the escort line of radar protectors.

I ordered this after sending a more expensive Uniden back due to constant false alarms. This one is very similar to my beloved 9500ix; does not beep at every McDonald's drive through, but DOES pick up the Sheriff from miles away. My only complaint is that the item was billed as "new." It definitely was not new. Everything was unwrapped, loose in the box, and the black twister ties that probably held the cord were floating around in the packaging and the manual, assuming there was one, is missing. It works well so I am keeping it, but I would have appreciated honesty in the description.

For the money this thing is great, the manual stinks so your best bet is hit up the internet for how to use all the features. Overall very happy.

Wasnt until I bought this and attempted to register it and check for update software, that I discovered I was unable to do any update because I live in New Zealand. I emailed Escort and have been ignored, This is really sad , its not a cheap unit. I dont like "stuff you companies". I will put this on face book and any other forums , wont go viral L O L but i hope they feel it, bastards!

Basically a 9500ix with a different name. I have both and think they are the best detector on the market. I don't like the magnetic mount on the new ones. These function great with the only issue being the blind spot monitors on some of the new cars but not sure any of the detectors would knock this out.

Seems to be very accurate for KA band. False alarms on K frequently when no buildings, no vehicles, only open road it alerts for K band. Going through a town it REALLY alarms frequently. Tried to find some adjustment that lets me decrease sensitivity for K, but not found. Thank goodness for the mute button on the plug. My 10+ year-old escort (which some lowlife stole from my car) was FAR more reliable and gave me no grief over false K alerts. Oh, and the suction cups turn loose about every three days.
