So easy to install

This was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive toilet riser. But it was the one recommended by a family members physical therapist. After it was delivered to her facility, I saw that it was the exact same one that I had purchased years before for my spouses knee replacement. Easy to install, just tighten it on. Short or long term, this is the one to get. Safe and secure. I hope my experience will help you to make a decision about whether or not this particular riser is right for you or your loved one.

Helps with seat height of toilet. Love the attached railings. However, not a lot of room for the plus size people. Not all that comfortable for extended sitting.

My six foot husband had anterior hip replacement and we were searching for a toilet seat riser with arms that would allow for easier use of the bathroom. We have an elongated toilet and we’re concerned about fit, assembly and ease of installation. This Carex toilet seat riser checked all the boxes. It fit our one-piece elongated Koehler Santa Rosa toilet just fine and the assembly and installation were quite easy. It really was a great purchase and helped my husband exponentially with bathroom use!

Doesn't stay tight on toilet bowl. It was easy to assemble and mount on the toilet bowl but it doesn't stay tight.

Im 5'9", so its the perfect height for me

Helpful for elderly

The toilet riser is dangerous. Since the riser is only held on the toilet base in one front spot that is tightened by turning a knob, which needed to be done frequently. Last night it sled off as my husband was sitting down. He scraped the length of his arm. So there was blood everywhere as well as was the stool. He was wedged between the wall and the commode. It was in the middle of the night and I had to request help. The neighbors came out to get him up from the floor where he was wedged between the wall and the commode. I really don’t think that this riser should ever be used or even sold. I would appreciate your timely response and also receive at least my money back.

Very helpful after surgery

Just yesterday, I was congratulating myself on my choice of raised toilet seat for four main reasons: 1) The chair is soft and comfortable; 2) The arms are perfect- much preferable to the ones with the elongated, dangly arms and legs that seem to take up the whole room; 3) This seat is also very portable, light-weight and discrete. When I have guests over, I just quickly use the convenient, big screw at the front to undo it, place it in the shower and hose it down, ready for the next time. I can manage this even though I am in pain from having just had a total knee replacement; 4) The other ones are so ug-leeee! This one is as good as it gets (for what it is, haha).

Easy to adjust on a toilet. Great to use after a knee replacement. The item was very dependable and reliable. Having the handles made it easier to get off
