how do I buy a 2.5 metre piece? I cannot seem to find the option where I can select how many metres I need...

Hi, We sell this by the metre, sadly only by whole metres on Amazon. You will need to order 3 in order to have enough. We send as one continuous piece.

Is this good for curtains - or only as lining?

I don't see why you couldn't use it for curtains. I have used actual curtain lining for the outer of curtains and they worked just fine. (I used blackout lining to line them.) Personally I would buy extra and then pre-wash the fabric (which will shrink) before cutting out because I like to wash my curtains in my washing machine rather than paying for dry-cleaning. Actually calico will make lovely Scandinavian-style curtains. Good idea!
