Well built stainless steel pulley. So far the bears have not destroyed it.

Works well and good product, as advertised

Some have noted the looseness of the pulley. It rides on a shaft that is held in place by a cotter pin. Here is what I think is going on with this pulley. The housing is punched while it is still in the flat pattern. It is then folded to the "C" shape. This results in some tolerance of alignment of the holes on the opposite sides. The pin is about .47 inch inch dia. The brass insert in the pulley is tapered in diameter from the edges to the center with the center being slightly smaller dia. This allows the pin and pulley to align to the holes in the housing. It also concentrates the load on the bushing such that I suspect longevity will be reduced. I used a 1/2 drill bit and reamed out the brass pulley insert and the holes in the housing. This allowed a 1/2 inch stainless bolt to be used as the shaft. You can't tighten the nut to close in tightly on the pulley because the pulley now has a little angle to it due to the housing offset, but loading is better.

I use while backpacking. Attached to 550 cord I can throw it, snag free, over a branch, then run a cord through the pulley. After hoisting the pulley up to the level of the branch and tying it off, I connect a carabiner to my backpack and use the line running over the pulley to pull my pack up. MUCH less friction than dragging the cord over the top of the bark covered branch With a 60lb pack on the end!

VERY SMALL !!! They seem to be tiny for something that purports to support over 150 lbs. Not impressed by build or material quality... should have paid more attention to the mm dimensions in the description.

The description says it is a two-pack. But I received only ONE pulley.
