Great Guitar Hangers with a Minor Wide-Neck Issue
These guitar hangers are fantastic! They’re sturdy, easy to install, and securely mount my guitars on the wall, freeing up valuable floor space. The padded arms protect my instruments’ finishes, and the sleek design adds a stylish touch to my music room. They work perfectly for both my acoustic and electric guitars, making it easy to grab one for a quick practice session. The only downside is that they don’t accommodate wide-neck guitars well. Still, I highly recommend them for most guitarists looking to display their collection safely and elegantly!

Very nice wall hanger
Very simple wall hanger, solid wood, very nice stain color. Comes with everything you need to mount it to drywall, the included anchors are solid. Holds my acoustic very nice and looks good on the wall!

Does exactly what it said it would do!
I have a nylon-string classical guitar and a Peavey EVH Wolfgang electric guitar, so I ordered two of these to hang them up on my wall. They're well made, the wood finish is nice, and they come with all you need to mount them. You don't even need a drill. The screws themselves can just be pushed and screwed into the wall, even if you're screwing into a stud. The idea is that you screw the screw in, and if you don't feel it biting into wood after half an inch or so, you pretty much know you need to remove the screw and use one of the drywall anchor plugs that come with this unit. The plugs have a pilot 'bayonet' which you tap into the hole left by the screw with a hammer or something (not that much force is required though), then use a philips head screwdriver to screw in the anchor plug. My first bracket required one drywall anchor because I missed the stud (I don't have any kind of electronic stud-finder, so I was limited to just knocking all over the wall to figure out stud location). It worked fine with the drywall anchor. The second bracket I was smarter and found a vertical stud. Both guitar brackets mounted really solidly and give me a lot of confidence that they'll hold up well. For the classical guitar, the neck did fit the bracket but it was a bit too tight a fit to easily hang/remove the guitar, so I bruteforced the arms open about 1/8th of an inch, and that really did the trick, the guitar is securely hung but I can easily lift and remove it from the hooks without undue rubbing on the neck. Overall, my room looks fantastic with these guitars hung on the wall, I love the way it hangs the guitars out from the wall slightly - my electric guitar is about 3" off the wall, and the classical having a hollow body is about 2.3" away from the wall, which prevents any kind of rubbing against the wall. I can't fault these brackets at all, they were cost-effective and the wood block looks good, and I loved the way the included fixtures didn't require any drilling. This is American-made at its best.

Don't use dry wall anchors for a good guitar :x
Some folks are upset because the spacer material is not metal, but I don't think that really makes much of a difference in the function of the holder. I'm pleased with the functionality. I have two string swings on my office wall so I have a guitar readily available when I need to change my head space and I have some nice decor too. I like being able to display my guitars and have them accessible without taking up floor space on a stand. These fit the bill very nicely. I have an acoustic guitar and a telecaster style guitar on my wall right now. initially I was concerned the Tele was not well held by the string swing... the "shoulders" on the acoustic are equally sized on either side of the head where it meets the neck but the tele is not symmetrical. With the swing bracket level the telecaster looks like it might fall out. I wandered over to the string swing website to see what was up and I was embarrassed to see that if you twist the string swing bracket to a 45 it holds the guitar very well! I used a stud finder and two wood screws with a conical profile head to hold my guitars. While the large drywall anchors and screws that come with the string swing may be rated to hold a guitar, I simply wouldn't risk it. Studs were available in convenient locations and I prefer the sturdy mount. A pair of 2" self drilling wood screws isn't a big investment, and a 2x4+woodscrew is far more reliable than drywall anchors.

Well made in the USA
This one is a little more expensive but it's worth the money. It's real wood and the hanger is made well and my guitars and bass hang sturdy. I recommend screwing into studs.

Perfect solution for my guitar collection (at least some of it)
I bought eleven of these in order to hang a bunch of my guitars and I found them to be extremely simple and quick to install. The included anchors work perfectly and went in without issue, leaving the String Swing solidly connected to the wall. If you are hanging a lot of guitars, making two rows (one high and one low) seems to be the best option. I spaced the hangers eighteen inches apart and the guitars I put up look nice and have a good, tight spacing. I uploaded two pictures of my wall after I had installed nine of the hangers and I couldn't be more pleased with the look... the pictures are uploaded on this product page. I have put up the other two hangers since I uploaded the pictures, so I will have to do new pictures, but the ones that I put up will give you a good representation of the look you will get with these. The easiest way to hang a lot of these is to use a laser level such as the Black & Decker BDL100AV All-In-One SureGrip Laser Level and a long cloth tape measure that you can tack to the wall. I just went down the wall making dots directly on the line, drilled quick pilot holes and nine of the string swings were installed in about 20 - 30 minutes. I think that this is the quickest and easiest way to get a professional-looking installation. As far as the performance of the hangers goes, what is there to say? The included anchors are big enough to keep the wooden backplate securely fastened to the wall and the hanger screws into a metal receptacle in the middle of it. As long as you make sure that you tighten the hanger properly, you will be in good shape. I DO NOT, however, recommend buying the String Swing Home and Studio Wall Bumper Brown , as they are complete garbage and fall off the wall almost immediately. EDIT: I put the other hangers up now and did NOT drill pilot holes. The anchors are made in such a way as to be nailed into the wall without using a pilot hole. Just mark the positions, use a hammer to nail the anchors up to the screw portion, then screw them in. It took about 1 minute to put a new hanger up, but this was partially due to the fact that I was able to use a level and put it against the bottom of the other hangers to get the line. At any rate, you do not need to drill pilot holes; just nail and go!
