I was not expecting the insane quality of this set. The glasses are much larger than expected and very comfortable in the hand. The fountain is absolutely beautiful. The spoons are not cheap tin-foil you see in other sets, but solid and useful in design. The packing (coming from Europe to the states) was outstanding; everything arrived in the appropriate amount of pieces.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and it came exactly as advertised. The fountain itself is elegant and delicate yet well-made. You wouldn't want to knock it off a table, though, because the glass isn't super thick. Everything was packed extremely well, so no worries about the shipping. The spoons and glasses are also well made, and I may order a few more of each. I'm glad I ordered the four-spout instead of a two, because to get a proper louche, a slow drip is best, which takes a while. With four spouts we can enjoy our absinthe with another couple. In short, this is the perfect, unique gift for that hard-to-buy-for person who likes unique or historical cocktails.

Exceeds expectations ! Packed well, item is very fragile and it arrived absolutely perfect! Primarily a display piece but I will definitely be giving it a personal run!!

The glass is beautiful, very well made, and well packaged. The spoons are quite nice. My only complaint is the cheap feeling plastic spigots. With everything else so well done I happily would have paid a little more for nice brass or stainless steel spigots so one star off for that. Looking for replacement spigots for an upgrade. Update: Any spigot designed for a 12mm or 1/2" opening will fit. A spigot designed for a 16mm or 5/8" opening will not fit. These are the two standard sizes.

I didn’t know what to expect when I bought this set. It came extremely well packaged. I love the quality of every item and feel it is a value for the money. Since it arrived and after we used it the first time, I am hooked. It is great to introduce our friends to absinthe and the fountain. I bought another set so that we can enjoy absinthe at both our homes.

i’m confused about these reviews. it feels like plastic and is a very simple bland design. that’s fine but then i think the price is unreasonable. i don’t understand the 4x mark up when everything here costs and looks like ~$40

I was impressed by the way this was packaged. It was shipped from Germany, and the packing method allowed it to survive a trip to the US. The dripper/dispenser itself is made of glass, while the dripper spigots are metal or chromed heavy plastic. The cups are glass, while the slotted spoons are stainless steel. Overall a great purchase, so far....

Not heavy very light weight, is fragile, knocking it over would end its whole life. Also dainty, it is NOT a large fountain, this is a work of art, that is functional , and not for rowdy nights. Fully functional, works as it should. really lovely.
