Gargoyle Geckos

Allen Repashy and Phillipe de Vosjoli are foundational to the husbandry of New Caledonian geckos. If nothing else: Buy this book out of respect for the people who went to the Island before all the new laws prevented it. We owe a great debt to these earlier breeders, and one way to support them is by supporting their books. Plus, if they make some money off 'em: they might write more! Lets show them that books are still worth writing. For the future.

Although it may be already old in some aspects ( herpetology is a fast moving field when it comes to animal husbandry and breeding ) it contains the most complete account for this wonderful species. The information about the actual care are not huge, but there is not that much more to know, but the extent of the areas dedicated to colours, and patterns, with tons of wonderful figure is amazing. Again, I have been told that some aspects of the morph nomenclature is kind of outdated already, but it still represent a perfect starting point and a wonderful standard to understand the current discussion in the gargoyle gecko passionate community!

The book was in good condition when I got it. It has great advice on husbandry for gargoyle geckos. It also has a lot of good pictures for examples on what the different morphs look like and describes them very well

This is the only book I could find about gargoyles. It still did not have as much information I needed. But I guess gargoyle geckos have not advanced into the pet trade as I thought. But for an overview of the geckos, it is a good starter book for you to decide if you want to invest in these animals. Thank you for having this book in paperback. I surely could not afford the price on the hard copy.Thank you for your help, Amazon is the best place to look for anything a person might want.

Love this book, it's pretty informative and focuses mostly on the physical aspects of the species. I learned a lot.

Great info for beginner collector,recommend having this book if you plan to keep Gargoyles. Info on feeding and health of your gecko, Temps and vivariums.
