Now Foods Lysine 500 mg, 100 tablets (Pack of 2)

I recently adopted a rescue dog who had contracted canine oral papillomas (oral warts). The warts were very unsightly and were growing in several places on her lips. I read that she likely was not beating the virus because her immune system was not strong enough and that one way to boost her immune system was to give her L-Lysine. I came to Amazon to check out my options for the product. This 2-pack was actually the cheapest option for me (even though I didn't need that many capsules).I gave her a capsule in the morning and one in the evening (on a full stomach) for a total of 1000mg per day. Within 4 days the warts were gone. I don't know where they went, I can only assume that they fell off. Now there are just small patches of new pink skin where the warts were. I have to admit that it was so unexpectedly fast that I question whether it was all because of the L-Lysine, or partly coincidence. I don't know, but no other changes were made to her environment. I am continuing to give her 500mg per day for the next week, or two, and then I will discontinue it.

These are not capsules, which can be opened. They are tablets which must be crushed before adding to pet food, as I intended. I kept them because I have a pill crusher and they are not difficut to crush with it.

I like the size of the capsule and the price.
