get your steps in without having to worry about slipping
like most of the country we have been in a deep freeze for about a week. light snow fell for two days, and since that time the thermometer has only made it to 32 for a few hours. walking in the snow was fine until a couple days ago when we had freezing rain and then freezing fogโฆwhen taking the garbage out proved a harrowing experience, I felt it was a good time to pull out the yaktrax. even though the windchill is 2 the dogs and I have been dying to get out and walk.I returned several โcopy catโ products before stepping up to the yaktrax. even though I may only wear them a couple of days a year, I could tell many would break because of poor construction or inferior materials, others where just too small for work boots. I bought a pair of XXL yaktrax to fit over my size 13, 8โ insulated boots and they fit perfectly, moreover, they worked to perfection. they allowed me to go places I would never consider and had zero concern - as sure footed as a yak (I suppose). we live on a bay off a huge lake that had frozen overโฆeven out there my traction was excellent and I had a good walk with the dogsโฆI also like how easy they are to put on and take off. I used to wear an old pair of metal spiked, golf shoes when it got coldโฆbut those arenโt insulated and itโs real easy to end up with wet feet. Nor do I want to spend several hundred dollars on a special boot. this way I can wear whatever I want to and be assured of traction. I do recommend sizing up one size if you are going over hiking or work boots. the construction of yaktrax is simple but robust. I think the rubber is strong and isnโt going to snap in a year like some I looked at.lastly, yaktrax arenโt going to impair your traction on a clean surface either and thatโs what has sold me on them. I highly recommend these for anyone who likes to get out irrespective of what mother nature throws at you.

XXL is great for larger/bulky boots.
Very nice! I was finally able to find cleats that would fit over my size 10 LaCrosse Ice King boots. I got the XXL and they are tight.

Fantastic grip, but points wore out fast
This winter has been ice Hell. These cleats were a Godsend... however, they are only steel, not tungsten carbide. I need to walk dry concrete as well as smooth black ice on the sidewalks. The dry concrete wore out the points on the cleats after just 5 weeks. This resulted in me sliding and falling on some very smooth black ice. So, great product, doesn't last long in the city. The cleats need to be made from tungsten carbide.

Is very well made this 15 size seems to fit on my size 15 hiking shoe.
I like the diamond shape pattern on the bottom toe ball area and a large heal patch. I tried them once and worked great pushing snow. We havenโt had ice storm yet and not much snow in Northern Wyoming. The size 15 wonโt fit on my Danner insulated boots but fit well on a regular Danner shoe boot type. I donโt think anyone could be disappointed if your feet are normal American size.

They broke within a month.
These were great ice cleats. But they broke after 30 days of use.

Great grip but something to consider
Great fit for my size 14 Baffin boots. Amazing grip on ice! Ice plus a bit of dry snow... its a bit more challenging. If your concerned I'd get larger biting cleats that can get past the snow and bite the ice. For what I do, I'm happy with the product.

Great cleats for the price
Having an oversized snow boot (US 14) it was tricky to find cleats that would stretch over my boot, these are great as they offer a XXL for oversized boots.I would definitely go a size up when buying them!
User
Best you can buy but onoy last a season.
Saved my back from slipping. Worth every penny except i wish i didn't have to buy a new pair each season.

Beat the Ice
I bought a pair of these for my husband for those icy days. He fell badly last winter and has already fallen this winter. I ordered a pair of the Diamond grip for him, they arrived very quickly and not long after, we had freezing rain. He wore them to the office, drove with them, and they worked great! They are easy to put on and off too. He has large feet, size 16 and the 2xl fit his shoes perfectly. I need a pair for myself now. I have some cheap cleat types that work well too, but I cannot drive in them and they actually leave indentations on our wood stairs.

Must have for icy winter streets
Fantastic in icy city environments, slip on and off easy, highly recommended for anyone who lives in Calgary due to the chinook melt. I constantly wear them in Calgary winters, understand that water and salt will have an effect on them so 24/7 use in winter will break them eventually. Also you will have no ankle roll issues with the layout of the grips. Might want a water proof bag or zip lock for when you take them off while indoor shopping .

Donโt last long.
Work great just donโt stand up to everyday use on the lake. The cable breaks after about 2 weeks. Great grippers just wish they would last longer. $60 is slog if I have to replace them every few weeks
