Very handy temperature and humidity controler
These are just what I needed for my meat curing chamber and cold smoker. They seem to be accurate I do see some difference between them and my Temp/Rh recording device, how ever not enough to worry about. I do recommend using them to control a contactor to prevent overloading the controller. They have been in use now for a few weeks. My only fault with them is the are not changeable form C to F. guess its time to learn something new.Note there is no time delay built in if you are using it for a refrigeration system to prevent short cycling.

Why I returned this item!
I purchased this item when it was priced at $22. Then I discovered that Walmart has it for $13, and so asked to return it for a refund. Then today, I discovered that Amazon has lowered the price to $16.Now about the SHT2000. It is a remarkably tiny little thing, although the pictures of it would have you think that it is much bigger. Mounting it somewhere is a problem as there are no cutouts or mounting holes to work with. Whatever you decide about your mounting strategy, it pretty much has to be a mounting system that lets you take it down to access the (tiny) little screws that connects your wiring in place. (A back panel has to be removed in order to gain access to those screws.)I've read quite a few reviews that didn't understand the "outputs" of the SHT2000. What you get are two sets of relay contacts that open when the temp/humidity meets the setting, and closed when more heat or humidity is called for. Plain and simple, seems to me.The sensor has several (very tiny) wires that must be connected to the controller. These will be a challenge to strip without breaking the wire, so extreme care must be used when stripping the insulation. Various tactics can be used, and I prefer heating the insulation to soften it before going after it with whatever strippers are on hand. I also recommend tinning the wires so they'll stay all together and straight when trying to push them into the wire screw panel. Once that is done, the wire will slip right in, straight as an arrow, and ready for the screw to be tightened. The documentation that comes with the SHT2000 is sparse in both length and information. In particular, it is completely silent as to leaving the sensor permanetly set up in a high humidity environment, as well as how to get a sensor replacement. I rather suspect two things: perhaps the SHT2000 is individually calibrated and must be used with its included sensor. This posibility is hinted at by its unusally high accuracy specification. And perhaps the sensor just never fails, a wonderful but unlikely possibility. So, how about it, SHT2000 manufacturing and engineering folk? Will the sensor survive in a high humidity environment (such as in an orchid greenhouse) that must be maintained in the 90-95% range? Also, are replacement sensors for the SHT2000 available, and if so, at what price? Finally, I would gladly pay an extra dollar or two for a decent sized case, one that has provisions for mounting it to a wall panel...and toss in larger displays while you're at it. The SHT2000 is a nice piece of engineering, and I would have enjoyed working on its development team.

Temperature not accurate
I received the unit today, pretty easy to hook up and set, but I checked it against my digital thermometer, the unit is 2 degrees C or 3.6 degrees off than my digital temperature probe, I dont see any way to calibrate it, so if you buy one best check it with another thermometer and compensate for the difference especially if its critical

Watch Attached Video to Learn How To Use
The media could not be loaded. This works extremely well. It's a little confusing to figure out how to connect a humdifier/heater, the rest is pretty straightforward. I made a video explaining how to connect everything. It's also a good idea once you have everything connected & working to use some hot glue on all the connectors to keep everything in place permanently so you can move it around without any wires breaking.

dose not work
it did not work. every time you tried to set the parameters it would shutoff. this is the fifth unit i have bought the others are of different makes. unfortunately i have already ordered another one of the same make. ( through my daughter ) she tried to stop the order but amazon says it was already shipped well i guest i'm stuck with another ornament. (update diymore has refunded 100% of the purchase price for one of the units when i receive the other i will see if that one works. i may update again.

Two of my control buttons are reversed
I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t set up the unit. The power switch and function button are in the opposite locations and labeled incorrectly.Once I figured that out, the unit works as it should.I wasn’t going to write a review, but they asked for one.Don’t know if this is a factory second being sold on Amazon or if other folks are having the same problem.7/19/2023 Update:These folks have issued me a full refund without me reaching out to them. They contacted me. Slow but good customer service.Upgraded to four stars. The unit is still working running a box fan to cool our small greenhouse.

Love it!!
I have been running this for 3 weeks and it is spot on. My first eggs will be hatching this weekend and I'm excited to see how successful the hatch will be with this controller. It has kept my incubator within 1 degree of target temperature. Only wish it was Fahrenheit.
