Exeeded Expectations!
I was looking to buy the new iPod nano, but after seeing many bad reviews, and from much suggestions of my friends,I decided to look for a new phone, my old one was simply just for texting and calling so anything was an upgrade.I saw this phone and I was like that looks nice, then I looked into it more and I brought it!When I got it I loved the size, small enough to be handy but big enough not to be a pain when typing (which is one of the critises of the nano)Its a great phone to investigate and figure out as you go through it,I loved texting and the camera is great!!It took me abit longer to figure out how to download off the andriod market but I figured it out and I wouldn't mark the phone for that, just the human behind it!a helpful hint for this phone is if you want a background straight off your camera, you have to take the photo landscape so it can stretch out!I love the way you can put other headphones into the phone and theres so many usb connecters you can't complain! The movement of the touch screen is very light and slides easily.I have had a few problems with it freezing every now and then, but thats sorted itself out in a few seconds.the sound from this small phone is amazing!! I couldn't believe it when I heard it the first time!Apart from afew small niggly problems, (that sort themselves out)this phone is perfect for someone who wants a small handy phone that is as handy as a HTC but doesn't flash it about so theres less chance of it getting nicked!I love this phone, and will keep it for a long time (or untill i drop it that one too many times)I would totally recommend this to a friend.:D

It is not what I ordered
I saw the pictures of the X10 Mini Pro, which were shown on Laptop UK's webpage on Amazon, so when my phone arrived without a key board, I was confused, when speaking to Laptop UK, they told me that the X10 did have a keyboard and I was to look at Youtube to find out how to use it.I discovered that there are two models, the X10 Mini and the X10 Mini Pro (with keyboard). I again spoke to Laptop UK and told them that their webpage were showing pictures of the X10 Mini Pro and this is what was expecting, he told me that I could return the phone and that I would get my money back once the phone was in their possession, he also told me that he would e-mail me their return address, I am still waiting two weeks later. As I did not receive any form of receipt from Laptop UK, I had a look at returning it through Amazon, I spent several days looking through Amazon's return policy and my account is showing that I have never ordered anything through Amazon. I am still stuck with a phone that I was sold misleadingly and still £90 out of pocket. I am not happy with the service of either Laptop UK or Amazon's return's policy and will probably never use either service again.

Great little smartphone
I have been fiddling with this phone for about a week now. And it is only now that I can truly say that I love this phone. I am so used to having 2 phones, because I use one phone for my line, and another phone for my prepaid sim which I use to call my relatives overseas. My old phone decided to drown itself in the toilet, thus I needed a replacement phone right away. I was at first thinking of replacing my old phone with a nokia or a samsung tocco lite, and I went to the Carphone Warehouse to look for phones and have a feel for it first before deciding anything, when lo and behold, I saw these 2 phones. The Sony Ericsson x10 Mini and x10 Mini Pro. I fell in love at first sight, but it was out of my budget. So I went home and perused Amazon. I saw that this phone was on sale and was about 30 bucks over my budget but I saw the specs, and I did a comparison thingy on E-Sato online. I read the reviews and was definitely satisfied. I was thinking for a replacement phone, it can't be that bad isn't it.Now a week and half later, I could definitely say that I so love my phone. I received it when it was still 1.6 on its software, and i had upgraded it to 2.1 on its software, and the upgrade is like the best. Let me tell you something, my main phone is a Nokia E72. I bought this phone because I am not a big fan of the Iphone wherein almost everyone has it and I really don't need a phone with too many apps. I didnt want to buy a blackberry as well because it was difficult learning it so i just bought the nokia e72. I wanted a phone that can do the basic stuffs and wherein i could do some internet like facebook, yahoo messneger and so on and so forth. I don't answer my emails on it, but I do read my emails, I do yahoo messenger chat, and do Facebook most of the time in it. What I don't like about it is that when I am chatting, I have to refresh every moment just to see if my chatmate had answered my instant message. Now, in the x10 mini, once I downloaded the Yahoo messenger, I could chat, and there's a bleep that would tell me that my chatmate had answered. just like in an i phone. Plus once I upgraded to Facebook for Android it could do FB chat as well. So, its like, aside from the basic amenities that a small phone has, this could do just about everything i want. It's like, the same thing with an I phone, but with lesser apps, lesser annoyance. So now, I have decided to switch my phones, and use the x10 mini as my main phone, and the nokia as my backup phone. I just need to switch the simcards. I am also a person who frequently gets lost so i needed a phone with a gps. But, well, my nokia e72 has got that one. Ovi guide maps really did their homework there. I guess sony needs to brush up on that aspect. So its a good thing i have 2 phones as well.My only problem in it is that the battery ( because it is so little) can't reach a full day. So I just have to bring the charger wherever I go. Plus since I needed to download a few apps, like yahoo messenger, yahoo messenger plug in (so i can have ym voice calls free) and skype so i need to buy a bigger memory card. Plus, unlike my nokia e72 and other high end smartphones, it doesn't have a secondary camera for video calls and the main camera does not have a zoom or a flash for nighttime pictures. But other than that, I don't have a problem with it. Good thing I have my own SLR for that. :)re-edit june 26, 2011i have had this phone for more than 3 months now.. and i could say that there are 2 things that actually wanted me to give this phone a 3 star rating... one is the battery. 2 is the phone memory. yes it has an expandable memory. but it has a low phone memory. and the bad thing is that i can not transfer some of apps into the memory card. i don't have a lot of apps downloaded, just the usual, ym, facebook, skype and 2- 3 games. that's it. and already whenever i play games, it always keep saying low on memory , phone would crash. and it does. i have read on the forums that it needs a 2.2 o.s. well i am fervently praying that google android and sony would upgrade this software to a 2.2. its just so unfair that you make a phone, and yet make it really low on quality such as apps like these. i am not a person who likes so many apps. that is why i didn't get the iphone in the first place. but even i need a couple of apps on my phone for entertainment... that is why i would rather give this a 3 star rating ...

X10 mini
This is a really small smart phone and my wife loves it. The software has been well designed to work on the smaller screen and most people should have no problem using this phone. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small and fairly inexpensive smart phone, my favourite thing is the dedicated camera button as my phone only has one on the screen. For those who like lots of widgets on the home page be warned as you can only have one on the home page because of the small screen and there is only one home page. As with all android phones you can have as many apps as your memory will allow. All in all a top notch product and at a great price
