10,000 lumen model is very bright, lights up a large area
I’ve been needing one of these for a long time and I’m glad I waited until now. LEDs get better and more affordable every year. Between function and price now seemed the time to pull the trigger on a “budget” model. I researched a dozen options and chose this Tacklife brand 10k lumen. I want to reliably light up a large area whether basement, 2 1/2 car garage, or outdoors. So far, so good. For this 10k model specifically, here are some things you should know:Each lamp can be operated seperately using a silicon-covered push button. There is on or off, no dim option. Each lamp contains 10 rows of 10 columns of leds. 100 leds per lamp so 200 for the pair. Each lamp can rotate about 225 degrees up and down (facing backwards is about horizontal, rotating to the front and down about -40 degree angle), full 360 degrees left to right (mind the cords so you don’t pinch them!).The cords are thick and heavy, similar to 10/3 gauge. A cord from each lamp joins a y-splitter at 16” from each lamp. Due to the weight of the entire power cord it’s best to not let the cord hang it’s weight from the lamps, so hang the weight of the cord off the stand to avoid damage. The lights are mounted on a floor mount, and the floor mount attaches to the tripod via clasp. This item comes with 7 end caps - 4 for the floor mount, 3 for the tripod. These end caps are plastic and will crack eventually. Thanks to another reviewer I opted to replace all 7 plastic end caps with rubber ones. You will need 4x 0.75” for the floor mount, then 2x 1.25” and 1x 1” for the tripod.I tested the lamps as soon as I received them. The bottoms work perfectly in completely stopping all energy to the leds. After testing the buttons several times, then leaving the lights on for 6 hours then turning them off (in complete darkness), the leds stop glowing completely within 3 seconds. Leaving the lamp plugged in, I checked back the next night and there was zero glow. So I have no defaults in the wiring. I recommend you do the same, and return if there is any glow whatsoever when plugged in and off. These are the “cons” or what make this a budget model:All adjustable features of the tripod are...primitive.The “locks” of the adjustable leg and 2 height adjustments are compression locks, meaning you turn the locking ring tight until you can’t turn it anymore. I do not like these because they can be compromised, and do not provide a solid stop. The folding tripod legs are intentionally loose to allow for manufacturing imperfections. Which means there is a little wobble to it. It won’t tip or fall over by it’s own accord, but if there is a wind, or vibrations: you’ll notice in the throw of the light.I rate this 5* because I understood the tripod drawbacks going in. If you want a better tripod, pay double the price for a better brand.

Super bright white!!
This is a heavy duty shop light! Very heavy and seems well made. It’s super bright white and very very bright, and it does not get really hot. It’s as bright as a Halogen Light. I saw a few poor reviews, but I was happily surprised how good it was - perfect for projects around the house. I would definitely buy another if I needed one.

A lot of great features
I spent more than I wanted for a work light but it turned out to be a great purchase. First and foremost... this puts out plenty of light!. And they don’t get hot like the halogen units. The unit is heavy duty and one of the tripod legs has an extension for uneven surfaces... a nice extra. Lights can be turned on individually and positioned easily. The light unit can also easily be removed from tripod to be used on its own. The cord is substantial length...another plus.

Nice product
So far I am pleased with this product although sometimes I have to push the on/off button several times to turn the light on. It seems durable and sets up quickly. If not for the on/off switch issue at times, I would have given this product a 5 rating.

Performance is wonderful
Overall, very happy with the performance of the light. There is a ding with chipped paint(very small), a leg cap that is split, and the knob to adjust and secure the legs is broken. Better packaging practices can ensure that products going through customs dont get damaged.

Works great. Good build quality.
Works great - love ability to quickly snap off light unit from base for working on car. Plenty bright, but doesn’t throw off the heat like the old halogen ones.

Great lights
Super sturdy, fairly lightweight and insanely bright. I’m now working well into after dark hours, which in winter is great.

Bright as daylight
It's perfect for the paint correction that I do for my detailing business. Now I can work at night! Light weight and bright as daylight!
