Kiln-Dried Cedar Kindling – Medium Hearth Box, Perfect for Fireplaces

These are perfect for building porch lanterns! I found some sticks years ago at Lowe’s and have been looking for more ever since. Since cedar is naturally weather and bug proof they will last for years!

I've used the Wildwood Kindling a couple of times now to start fires in a small BioLite Firepit, but this is a good option for those of use that don't have a lot of sources of easy kindling at hand. Plus, the rectangular blocks are dry and start right away. They also have a nice cedar odor as they burn. I think these would work well to get a fire started in any firepit or fireplace.

These are okay. They work to start a fire, but it may take a few to keep it going initially. If you are looking for kindling these kind of remind me of the wooden rulers we used in grade school.

My husband and I often had difficulty getting the wood to reach a good and steady flame in our insert in the fireplace. We used newspapers and smaller pieces of wood and branches to get it started. We actually stopped using the fireplace for a couple of years because of the hassle. Now with the kiln dried cedar kindling, I no longer have that problem getting a good healthy blaze. We made fires most of the time this past winter and enjoyed looking at the roaring flames.

Looks like it will burn good. But for 30 bucks you will not be starting too many fires.

Good kindling. Reliable, sturdy, always lights up fast.

Use ur for fireplace kindling. Too much snap, crackle and pop. Sparks fly.Sticks are a bit too large

I buy these for my elderly grandmother who has difficulty starting fires these days. She absolutely LOVES them. Starts every time, quickly and easily.
